BANK INDONESIA REGULATION NUMBER : 13/ 17/ PBI/ 2011 CONCERNING SECOND AMENDMENT OF BANK INDONESIA REGULATION NUMBER 7/42/PBI/2005 CONCERNING ISSUANCE AND CIRCULATION OF THE YEAR 2005 ISSUE OF BANKNOTES IN THE 50.000 (FIFTY THOUSAND) RUPIAH DENOMINATION BY THE GRACE OF THE GOD THE ALMIGHTY THE GOVERNOR OF BANK INDONESIA Considering : a. Whereas issuance and circulation of Rupiah is addressed to provide cash in society as a legal tender in Republic of Indonesia; b. Whereas to optimalize the function of element on currency in the 50.000 (fifty thousand) Rupiah denomination as legal tender in Indonesia, it is deemed necessary to enhance the security features in Rupiah design; c. Now therefore, based on consideration referred to in letter a and letter b, it is necessary to make the second amend of Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 7/42/PBI/2005 Concerning Issuance and Circulation of the Year 2005 Issue of Banknotes in the 50.000 (Fifty Thousand) Rupiah Denomination; In view of : 1. Act of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 1999 concerning Bank Indonesia (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 66 of 1999, Supplement to the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3843) as amended by Act of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6 of 2009 (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2009, Supplement to the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4962);

2. Act of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2011 concerning Currency (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 64 of 2011, Supplement to State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5223); 3. Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 6/14/PBI/2004 concerning Issuance, Circulation, Revocation as Legal Tender, Withdrawal from Circulation, and Destruction of the Rupiah Currency (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 52 of 2004, Supplement to State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4338) as amended by Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 9/10/PBI/2007 (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 113 of 2007, Supplement to State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4762); HAS DECREED: To Enact : SECOND AMENDMENT OF BANK INDONESIA REGULATION NUMBER 7/42/PBI/2005 CONCERNING ISSUANCE AND CIRCULATION OF THE YEAR 2005 ISSUE OF BANKNOTES IN THE 50.000 (FIFTY THOUSAND) RUPIAH DENOMINATION. Article I Several provisions in Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 7/42/PBI/2005 concerning Issuance and Circulation of the Year 2005 Issue of Banknotes in the 50.000 (Fifty Thousand) Rupiah denomination (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 102 of 2005) as amended by Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 11/8/PBI/2009 (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 45 of 2009) amended as follows: 1. The provisions of Article 4 shall be amended as follows: Article 4

The specifications of the banknotes of 50.000 (fifty thousand) Rupiah denomination referred to in Article 1, for printing year, starting from 2009 until June 2011, are: a. Color The dominant color printed on the obverse side and the reverse sides of the banknote is blue. b. Images 1. Obverse side a) Main image of Hero of the Independence Struggle I Gusti Ngurah Rai, and underneath, the inscription of I GUSTI NGURAH RAI ; b) to the left of the main image, arranged vertically, is a blue image of Balinese ornament that glows green under ultraviolet light; c) to the upper left of the main image, arranged horizontally, and to the right of watermark, arranged vertically, the number 50000 representing face value; d) to the left of the main image, below the number 50000 representing face value, a rectoverso image that if held up to the light will reveal a complete logo of Bank Indonesia; e) to the lower left of the main image, arranged horizontally, and underneath, the inscription of LIMA PULUH RIBU RUPIAH (fifty thousand rupiah); f) to the left of the main image and upper the words BANK INDONESIA, the blind code shaped in triangle that fells roughed when rubbed; g) to the upper right of the main image, a latent image of the inscription of BI in a rectangular frame in the shape of a Balinese ornament, visible from a certain angle; to the upper right of the main image, the Republic of Indonesia emblem of the Garuda Pancasila; h) to the upper right of the main image, the national emblem of the Garuda Pancasila ; i) to the lower right, the Bank Indonesia logo in square field, printed in optically variable ink that will change color from magenta to green when viewed at certain angles;

j) to the lower right of the main image, the number 2009 representing year of issuance (2009 number will be changed according to the printing year), inscription of DEWAN GUBERNUR (board of governors), signature of the Governor of Bank Indonesia accompanied by inscription of GUBERNUR (governor) and signature of a Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia and the inscription of DEPUTI GUBERNUR (Deputy of Governor); k) background and filler consisting of wavy, slanted lines and a series of lines curved in the shape of Balinese ornaments; l) Microtext legible only with the aid of a magnifying glass: 1) to the left of the main image, filling the space is the number 50000 representing face value with the inscription BI ; 2) to the left of the main image, the inscription of BI forming the background to the Balinese ornaments; 3) to the left edge of the Balinese ornaments, the inscription of BI and the right edge of the Balinese ornaments, the number 50000, both forming vertical lines; 4) to the upper and lower left of the main image, forming a grid pattern with a combination of BI and BI50000 arranged horizontally BANKINDONESIA and BI50000 arranged diagonally; 5) to the right of the main image, the inscription of BI in lettering forming the background and Balinese relief; 6) to the upper and lower left edge and the upper and lower right edge, the BI logo forming an underlying pattern on the banknote; m) Minitext is small size text legible without the aid of magnifying glass above and below the watermark, comprising the inscription of BANKINDONESIA50000, forming curves with varying color of text and different text size; 2. Reverse side a) main image depicting Lake Beratan in Bedugul, Bali, arranged vertically DANAU BERATAN BEDUGUL ;

b) Below the main image, the inscription of DENGAN RAHMAT TUHAN YANG MAHA ESA, BANK INDONESIA MENGELUARKAN UANG SEBAGAI ALAT PEMBAYARAN YANG SAH DENGAN NILAI LIMA PULUH RIBU RUPIAH (with the blessing of God the Almighty, Bank Indonesia hereby issues this currency as legal tender to the value of fifty thousand rupiahs); c) Above the watermark, an invisibly printed image of a silhouette of Balinese that glows yellowish-green under ultraviolet light; d) to the lower left of the main image, an invisibly printed inscription of the number 50000 representing face value in a rectangular box, that glows yellowish-green under ultra violet light; e) to the left edge and to right of the center of the banknote, an image of Balinese ornament that glows green under ultra violet light; f) serial number consisting of 3 (three) letters and 6 (six) digits, located to the lower left of the banknote and printed in black ink that glows green under ultraviolet light, and to the upper right, located below the inscription of BANK INDONESIA and printed in red ink that glows orange under ultraviolet light; g) to the upper right of the main image, the inscription of BANK INDONESIA ; h) to the upper right, below the serial number, a rectoverso image that if held up to the light will reveal a complete logo of Bank Indonesia; i) to the lower right, arranged horizontally, and to the upper left, arranged vertically, the number 50000 representing face value; j) to the lower right, directly below the number 500000 representing face value, the inscription of PERUM PERCETAKAN UANG RI IMP and the year of issuance 2005 ;

k) microtext legible only with the aid of a magnifying glass: 1) at the upper and lower left edge and upper and lower right edge in the form of a grid made up of the inscription of BI, arranged horizontally, and the inscription of BI50000 and BANK INDONESIA, arranged diagonally; 2) at the left edge of the main image, is BANKINDONESIA inscription, forming a vertical line; 3) to the upper left of the main image, is BI inscription, forming a Balinese ornament; 4) To the lower right of the main image, which fill the space of 50000 face value, is BI Inscription; l) minitext legible without the aid of a magnifying glass, located above and below the watermark, comprising the number 50000 in curved form with varying text size; c. Material the specifications of the banknote paper are as follows: 1. Made of cotton fiber; 2. length 149mm and width 65mm; 3. Light blue color; 4. Does not glow under ultraviolet light; 5. Watermark comprising the image of Hero of the Independence Struggle I Gusti Ngurah Rai and electrotype comprising the BI logo and a Balinese ornament; 6. Woven security thread bearing the repeated inscription of BI50000 complete or partially cut, and changing color from magenta to green when viewed from different angles. 2. Between an Article 4 and 5 was inserted 1 (one) Article, namely an Article 4A as follows: Article 4A The specifications of the banknotes of 50.000 (fifty thousand) rupiah denomination referred to in Article 1, for printing year starting from July 2011 are:

a. Color the dominant color printed on the obverse and reverse sides of the banknote is blue; b. Images 1. Obverse side a) Main image of Hero of the Independence Struggle I Gusti Ngurah Rai, and underneath, the inscription of I GUSTI NGURAH RAI ; b) to the left of the main image, arranged vertically, is a blue image of a Balinese ornament that glows green under ultraviolet light; c) to the upper left of the main image, arranged horizontally, and to the right of the water mark, arranged vertically, the number 50000 representing face value; d) to the left of the main image, below the number 50000 representing face value, a rectoverso image that if held up to the light will reveal a complete logo of Bank Indonesia; e) to the lower left of the main image, arranged horizontally, and underneath, the inscription of LIMA PULUH RIBU RUPIAH (fifty thousand rupiah); f) to the left of the main image and upper the words BANK INDONESIA, the blind code in triangle that feels rough when rubbed; g) to the upper right of the main image, a latent image of the inscription of BI in a rectangular frame in the shape of a Balinese ornament, visible from a certain angle; h) to the upper right of the main image, the national emblem of the Garuda Pancasila ; i) to the right of the main image, the rainbow printing in square field that will change color when viewed at certain angles; j) to the right of the main image, an elements design shaped small orange circles with white color at its center center putted spreadly;

k) to the lower right, the Bank Indonesia logo in a square field, printed in optically variable ink that will change color from magenta to green when viewed from different angles; l) to the lower right of the main image, the number 2011 representing year of print (2011 number will be changed according to the year of print), inscription of DEWAN GUBERNUR (Board of Governors), signature of the Governor of Bank Indonesia accompanied by inscription of GUBERNUR (Governor) and signature of a Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia and inscription DEPUTI GUBERNUR (Deputy of Governor); m) background and filler consisting of wavy, slanted lines and a series of lines curved in the shape of a Balinese ornament; n) Microtext legible only with the aid of a magnifying glass: 1) to the left of the main image, filling the space is the number 50000 representing face value with the inscription BI ; 2) to the left of the main image, the inscription of BI forming the background to the Balinese ornaments; 3) to the left edge of the Balinese ornaments, the inscription of BI and the right edge of the Balinese ornaments, the number 50000, both forming vertical lines; 4) to the upper and lower left of the main image, forming a grid pattern with a combination of BI and BI50000 arranged horizontally BANKINDONESIA and BI50000 arranged diagonally; 5) to the upper and lower left edge and the upper and lower right edge, the BI forming an underlying pattern on the banknote; o) Minitext is small size text legible without the aid of magnifying glass above and below the watermark, comprising the inscription of BANKINDONESIA50000, forming curves with varying color of text and different text size; 2. Reverse side a) main image depicting Lake Beratan in Bedugul, Bali, arranged vertically DANAU BERATAN BEDUGUL ;

b) below the main image, the inscription of DENGAN RAHMAT TUHAN YANG MAHA ESA, BANK INDONESIA MENGELUARKAN UANG SEBAGAI ALAT PEMBAYARAN YANG SAH DENGAN NILAI LIMA PULUH RIBU RUPIAH (with the blessing of God the Almighty, Bank Indonesia hereby issues this currency as legal tender to the value of fifty thousand rupiahs); c) above the water mark, an invisibly printed image of a silhouette of a Balinese dancer that glows yellowish-green under ultraviolet light; d) to the lower left of the main image, an invisibly printed inscription of the number 50000 representing face value in a rectangular box that glows yellowish-green under ultraviolet light; e) to the left edge and to right of the center of the banknote, an image of Balinese ornament that glows green under ultra violet light; f) to the right of the main image, an elements design shaped small orange circles with white color at its center center putted spreadly; g) serial number consisting of 3 (three) letters and 6 (six) digits, located to the lower left of the banknote and printed in black ink that glows green under ultraviolet light, and to the upper right, located below the inscription of BANK INDONESIA and printed in red ink that glows orange under ultraviolet light; h) to the right upper of the main image, the inscription of BANK INDONESIA ; i) to the upper right, below the serial number, a rectoverso image that if held up to the light will reveal a complete logo of Bank Indonesia; j) the number 50000 representing face value, inscribed horizontally on the lower left and vertically on the upper left;

k) to the lower right, directly below the number 500000 representing face value, the inscription of PERUM PERCETAKAN UANG RI IMP and the year of issuance 2005 ; l) Microtext is text legible only under magnifying glass,: 1) at the upper and lower left edge and upper and lower right edge in the form of a grid made up of the inscription of BI, arranged horizontally, and the inscription of BI50000 and BANK INDONESIA, arranged diagonally; 2) On the left edge of the main image, the inscription of BANK INDONESIA, forming a vertical line; 3) on the upper left of the main image, is BI inscription, forming a Balinese ornament; 4) To the lower right of the main image, which fill the space of 50000 face value, is BI Inscription; m) minitext legible without the aid of a magnifying glass, located above and below the watermark, comprising the number 50000 in curved form with varying text size; c. Material The specification of the paper are as follows: 1. Made of cotton fiber; 2. Length 149mm and width 65mm; 3. Light blue color; 4. Does not glow under ultraviolet light; 5. 3. Article 5A is deleted Article II The Banknotes 50.000 (fifty thousand) Rupiah denomination issued by Bank Indonesia before the enactment of this Bank Indonesia Regulation, are declared still remain as a legal tender along has not been revoked and withdrawn from circulation. Article III This Bank Indonesia Regulation shall come into force on the date of its enactment.
