History Isla Tiles has been establish in 1973 as a small production of wall tiles only. Its careful and sophisticated taste for design bring Isla, very soon, on the top of the reference of the leading companies in Italy that at that time was its first market As Isla always paid much attention to the market request, very soon, it become a point of reference for other producers of ceramic tiles In 80 s Isla started to cover the foreign markets were step by step obtained good results in different countries in Europe, like France, Germany, Greece, etc. etc.
During the 80 s the market situation changed due to a world economic slow down but due the success obtained in the previous years Isla went on producing good quality material; research and design was always good as KEY SUCCESS FACTORS Strong of this overseas success, Isla decided to come back to old Europe, Middle and Far East and it started seriously to invest there. Enlarging again our production, Isla made a lot of colours and decors and it studied new design elegant, luxurious and exclusive but sellable as usual
The partnership In 2004 Isla started a co-operation with one of the most important and famous ceramic groups in Sassuolo : Florim Group SpA Florim Group (Floor Gres, Rex, Casa Dolce Casa, Cerim) is one of the leading group for the production of glazed and unglazed ceramic tiles. Modern and updated production lines, own laboratories where they can study and tests all kind of ceramic tiles in gres porcelain or white body biscuit from the smaller to the largest sizes and from high to smaller thickness in floor and wall tiles
Isla is sharing a 33% in Florim group and thanks to this, obtains their technology, and their technical acknowledge. When we decide for new lines, study, research of products, design and decoration are all made by Isla staff, but technology, machinery and logistic production is made by Florim Group, that in few words means : great success!
Wall & floor tiles Isla thanks to this strategic partnership may have a daily production capacity for wall tiles between Sqm. 4.500 to 7.500 depending from the working size scheduled Floor tiles production capacity is around Sqm. 5.000 a day, of course even in this case if the size is smaller (like 30x30 or 40x40cm.) the production capacity increase of a 15-20% then a 60x60 or 40x80.

New trademark : La Maison In 2008 another important co-operation with one of our best decors supplier, bring Isla into a world of the Luxury collections, so during Cersaie 08, Isla presented La Maison ; a trademark for an elegant and retrò-style line with exclusive ceramic plain tile and decors. La Maison was the first production line made by Isla, where a Ink-Jet machine has been used. Ink-jet is a machinery that print the ink inside the body of the tiles and this characteristic gives the surface a strong durability but especially it is possible to glaze tiles with an high thickness even more then cm. 3

In Cersaie 09, 80% of the new lines presented have been made using this kind of new technology, it means that tiles are now exactly like what we had originally thought : perfect recreation of natural stones or marbles like nature has created.
