The board will submit the book with all changes for printing. The board may have some new changes before submitting the yellow book for printing. We will be submitting the yellow book to the printers this month in order to be able to send out with new licenses in June.
5. I have started sending emails out to license holders 30 days before their certificate of liability insurance expires. There is NO reason now that we do not receive the certificate on time. At this time we are still receiving emails from companies upset that their COL was sent but the board did not receive it on time. I have responded that the COL should be sent by email. This way the COL is sent directly to the board 6. Harry Knight has put together a request for public hearing concerning the Homeowners exam for the board to review. The board approved the request and will ask Harry Knight to move forward with the request. Thanks to Mr. Knight for his help on this matter. The paperwork is moving through the system. Paperwork appears to be on hold until after the elections are over? 7. Sent mass email notification out concerning the free ten hour electrical class. We received many registrations. The class can only support 30 seats. We will narrow the roster by who responded first. Notification will be sent out this coming weekend to the ones who made the enrollment. The class will be given again in November. The November class is now full. How is first class going- Don Haskins? 8. The board discussed the November meeting and the conflict with Election Day. The board will discuss with Harry Knight to find an available room for the following week. The room has no conflict. Meeting will be held like normal. 9. Don Haskin has sent the training paperwork to PG County to have them approve our training courses. We are waiting for a response. No response as of October 7 th 2014 10. An email was received from MDIA concerning work at the hospital. The hospital is requesting an exception from the board. We are requesting more information from MDIA. A response from MDIA has never been received. Will continue to ask MDIA for information. 11. The State board has sent all counties a letter informing that Mr. Robert H. Cooper Jr has Indefinitely Surrendered his master electrician s license (4282). The board will notify all counties if his license is reinstated and he is able to resume providing electrical service. 12. Mr. Richard T. Moore applied for a master electrician license and sent the old fee of $50.00 with his application. I contacted Mr. Moore and explained the fee had increased effective September 1 st. He asked me to cancel his application that he did not need his St. Mary s County License right now. 13. The Board has received an update on our budget. This a license renewal year and the budget may need to be amended. 14. Don Haskin reported that the October 10 hour class is going well. He had 30 applicants sign up and 25 showed up. He is giving the class again in November, which already has a full roster. We are currently in discussions for a class in January. When a date is secured, a notification will be sent out.
