After graduating from Britt High School, I attended Iowa State University receiving a double major in Agronomy and Seed Science in 1987. I have worked various roles in Agriculture including Crop Consultant, Retail Agronomist, Seed Agronomist, Agronomy Manager and Technology Development. I currently work as a Technical Agronomist for DEKALB/MONSANTO and Asgrow in North Central and Northwest Iowa. I live in Spencer, Iowa with my wife Kris and five children ranging in age from seven to twenty one. My oldest two daughters attend Iowa State University. I am active in the Spencer Community and my church, Sacred Heart. I have served on our school board at Sacred Heart and have taught religious education as well as various other committees. I currently serve as the Chairman of the Certified Crop Advisor Board for the state of Iowa. I enjoy spending time with my children, coaching and helping with their activities. I also enjoy running, playing basketball, fishing and canoeing.
