About Final Frontier Baskerville Old Face Mongolian Baiti Heimdal Long Shot dangerous mystifying intriguing Kevlar Underwear Medusa Gothic Black Chancery Northwood High K 22 Monastic Medusa Gothic Baskerville Old Face I m choosing this font for the title because it feel very old-fashioned and dark and goes with the theme of the book. I m chose this one for similar reasons as Medusa Gothic, but I was to use a less stylized text for things such as the author.

The Original Cover I feel that while the colors do communicate and air of both fancy as well as mysterious and dingy, nothing else about it tells me anything else about the book. In fact, it doesn t even have a book synopsis on the back, so when I first read this book I was going off of my love of Neil Gaiman s other work and hoping for the best (and best it was). This cover only shows me that the book is set in London, but does not tell me anything about the genre or the characters. I m also confused by why the graphic at the top of the cover is there in the first place, or why the author s name is so large. I think that this would have worked better if perhaps more room was given to Big Ben and the plain misty background, which could allow for more focus on the title text. I also think that making Gaiman s name in all-caps while is not is a very odd choice. I also have never been a big fan of praise-quotes on a book, because none of those individuals opinions about the book really matter to me. I m going to read it with or without a raving review, and more often than not I find that books with good reviews are not very good. So to place one on the cover seems unnecessary and takes up space that can be used to further enrich the cover.
