The #DigiInventorsChallenge mission Andy Murray and the Digital Health & Care Institute (DHI) have together launched the #DigiInventorsChallenge, to find life-changing inventions in digital health and care from Scotland s most creative and innovative young minds. By participating in the #DigiInventorsChallenge, we want young Scots to play a part in helping change the trends that have caused them to be rated as having one of the worst diet and lowest activity levels in the world. With their help, we can change the habits that are setting Scotland up for a lifetime of ill health. Groups of teenagers will compete for the chance to see their invention become reality, as well as an impressive prize package and recognition for their school, college or youth group.
DHI Ambassador The initiative is a keystone of the five-year partnership between DHI and Andy Murray, who was named DHI s ambassador earlier last year. Building on his personal interest in digital technologies to improve and monitor health and wellbeing, and with his recent experiences of working with start-up companies in the health, sport and wearable technology markets, Murray s philanthropic involvement will raise awareness of DHI s work with international digital health entrepreneurs and investors. As a professional tennis player, I use digital health technology every day to monitor my performance and inform my training regime. But digital health technology is not just for athletes. It has the potential to help everyone understand their health needs and goals better, and to make better choices. By taking part in the #DigiInventorsChallenge, we want young people to use their experiences, creativity and digital skills to develop one big idea that can make a difference. Andy Murray
