All content of this Part is mandatory. Foreword GB 4343 Electromagnetic compatibility - Requirements for household appliances electric tools and similar apparatus consists of two parts: - Part 1: Emission; - Part 2: Immunity - Product family standard. This Part is the first part of GB 4343, corresponding to CISPR 14-1:2005 (the fifth edition) Electromagnetic compatibility - Requirements for household appliances, electric tools and similar apparatus - Part 1: Emission. The fifth edition of CISPR 14-1 replaces the fourth edition (2000), Amendment 1 (2001) and Amendment 2 (2002). This Part equivalently adopts CISPR 14-1:2005. However, according to GB/T 20000.2-2001 Guides for standardization - Part 2: Adoption for International Standards, this Part also makes the following editorial changes: - Deleted Foreword and Introduction of CISPR 14-1:2005. The Introduction of CISPR 14-1:2005 has been edited into the foreword of this Part. - Modified the international standards referred in this Part to identical, equivalently-adopted Chinese national standards. - Modified the name of this Part as Electromagnetic compatibility - Requirements for household appliances, electric tools and similar apparatus - Part 1: Emission. This Part replaces GB 4343.1-2003 Electromagnetic compatibility - Requirements for household appliances, electric tools and similar apparatus - Part 1: Emission. Compared with GB 4343.1-2003, the main technical changes are as follows: - Deleted For those testing equipment that can not be part of the test site, there are no emission requirements, and on-site testing requirements are under consideration in 1.1; - Added GB 7000.204-2008 Luminaires - Part 2-4: Particular requirements - Portable general purpose luminaires and GB 17743-2007 Limits and methods of measurement of radio disturbance characteristics of electrical lighting and similar equipment in Normative references ; Page 3 of 87

- Because of changes in standard system and revision corresponding to CISPR 16 in China, all standards relevant to CISPR 16 in this Part have been re-referenced; - Redefined portable lamps for children in 3.19; - Added provisions on starting frequency of measurement for appliances connected with auxiliary device at non-power lead terminals when there is terminal disturbance voltage of non-detachable lead that is greater than 2 m but less than 10 m between the appliance and the auxiliary device in 5.2.3; - Specified methods for disturbance measurement of appliance of which it has one voltage range, more than one rated voltages and frequency range is 50 Hz~60 Hz in 7.1.4; - Added provisions on disturbance measurement for washing machine with leakage protection valve in 7.3.1.10; - Supplemented measurement methods for disturbance power of indoor and outdoor connecting lead and starting measurement frequency of other lead terminals disturbance voltage measurement for air conditioner with indoor unit and outdoor unit (split) in 7.3.1.20.4; - Redefined measurement provisions for electrical tools equipped with vibrating block or swing block in 7.3.2.1.2; - Modified 7.3.4.1, i.e., the measurement method of appliance with one or more heating plates that can be controlled by thermostat or energy regulator is replaced by measurement description of heating element of grill and hotplate that can be controlled by thermostat or energy regulator; - Deleted descriptions of sufficient exothermic conditions and insufficient exothermic conditions in GB 4343.1-2003; modified them to specific measurement requirements; relating terms are 7.3.2.5, 7.3.4.2, 7.3.4.3, 7.3.4.6, 7.3.4.7, 7.3.4.8, 7.3.4.9.2, 7.3.4.10, 7.3.4.11, and 7.4.3.14; - Deleted for cooker use in subjects of 7.3.7.3.1 and 7.3.7.3.2 in GB 4343.1-2003; added requirements of When measuring continuous harassment, the ignition device should be open throughout the testing process, and a 2 kω resistive load shall be placed in discharge circuit in 7.3.7.3.2; - Deleted 7.3.7.7 Battery charger, 7.3.7.8 Rectifier, Note: Disturbance power limits between 30 MHz ~ 300 MHz frequency do not apply these devices (see 4.1.2.4) in 7.3.7.9 Converter of GB 4343.1-2003; Page 4 of 87

- Added measurement provisions of For momentary switch (see 4.2.3.3), duration of pulse shall be only determined in 500 khz in 7.4.2.2; - Redefined part of drawings and names but technical content remains unchanged; relating drawings are Figure a, Figure 2, Figure 5, Figure 6, Figure 7 and Figure 8; - Supplemented the significant digits of factor f in attaching Table A.2; - Added three references: IEC 61000-3-8 Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) - Part 3: Limits - Section 8: Signaling on low-voltage electrical installations - Emission levels, frequency bands and electromagnetic disturbance levels GB/T 17045 Protection against electric shock - Common aspects for installation and equipment (GB/T 17045-2008, IEC 61140:2001, IDT) GB/Z 6113.403 Specification for radio disturbance and immunity measuring apparatus and methods - Part 4-3:Uncertainties statistics and limit modelling - Statistical considerations in the determination (GB/T 6113.403-2007, IEC/CISPR 16-4-3:2004, IDT) Annex A of this Part is normative; Annex B and Annex C are informative.
