Prepare a large open space to assemble the table. Sweep the floor! Screws and small parts can damage the worksurface. Put down a CLEAN shipping blanket to protect the worksurfaces. Unpack the worksurfaces and place on the shipping blanket upside-down. REMEMBER - You're looking at the UNDERSIDE of the worksurfaces. Are you sure which side is left or right and front or rear? Series 5 Table Assembly Determine Switch Position on your Table The switch can be located on either on either side of your table, but the switch comes with a short cable to minimize clutter. So, be sure to always locate the master motor near the switch location. NOTE: It does not matter which side of the table the master or slave motor goes on. Switch & Master Motor on Right: Switch & Master Motor on Left: SLAVE MOTOR SLAVE MOTOR SWITCH SWITCH MASTER MOTOR MASTER MOTOR Page 8 of 38

Series 5 Table Assembly (cont.) Identify the Master and Slave Motors The master motor and slave motor look the same, except for the connection panel at the back. NOTE: The power supply converts 0V AC from the wall outlet to 4V DC. The series 5 motors operate on 4V DC. IMPORTANT! The master motor has one other key difference. It also has a hidden kill switch. This kill switch is inside the front mounting hole. If the front mounting bolt is not properly installed, the table will not operate! CORRECT! WRONG! Series 5 Table Assembly (cont.) Installing Driveshafts Driveshafts are retained using cap nuts, which grip the driveshaft ends and prevent them from backing out of the lifting columns. CAP NUT (with plastic cover) CAP NUT CAP NUT Tables require one cap nut mounted outside of each lifting column. The driveshaft assembly is thus retained in both directions. FINISHED ASSEMBLY Place cap nut on a flat, hard surface and push driveshaft into it. With lifting columns pushed all the way down, feed driveshaft through each lifting column, from outside, until cap nut bottoms out on each lifting column. Page 0 of 38

Example: Master motor and switch on user's right-hand side. Slave Motor Series 5 Table Assembly (cont.) Installing Driveshafts (cont.) 3 4 Determine on which side of the table each motor will go. (see page 6) Install M6 x 80 bolts & M6 nuts to each motor as shown. Driveshafts and Lifting Column Synchronization Series 5 lifting columns and motors must be synchronized before installing the driveshafts. Series 5 motors are shipped from the factory in the "all the way down" position. Before inserting the driveshafts, ensure ALL LIFTING COLUMNS are pushed all the way down (fully compressed). Master Motor 3 0mm M6 x 80 HEX HEAD BOLT 0mm M6 HEX NUT 4 5 Insert the exposed stud from each motor into the side mounting slot of the outboard leg mounting plates. 5 EXPOSED STUD MOTOR MOTOR Page of 38

Series 5 Table Assembly (cont.) Installing Driveshafts (cont.) 6a 6a Insert hex shafts into driveshaft tube. 6b If the hexagon openings are not perfectly aligned, rotate the motor up and down to align the hex shaft with the driveshaft tube, until the driveshaft slides through with ease. 6c NOTE: DO NOT pound the hex shafts through with a hammer. This will mushroom the end of the hex shaft. Ensure all driveshafts are inserted into driveshaft tubes. Tighten set screws very tightly with a 3mm hex wrench. NOTE: DO NOT overtighten the set screws. Overtightening can strip the threads in the driveshaft tube. 6b 6c Page of 38

POWER SUPPLY NOTE: Assemblies with a Nexsis Power Access Door Package require the Power Supply to be installed at an alternate location as shown. Series 5 Table Assembly (cont.) Installing Switch & Power Supply Locate the two () pilot holes for mounting the power supply. Partially install two () #8-5 x 5/8" screws per the diagram shown below. 3 NOTE: Use the pre-drilled pilot holes to mount the power supply in a way that assures accessories can be clamped to the worksurface, and allow all cables to reach. If a different power supply location is desired, use the template below, which matches the the power supply's keyhole slots and mm hole spacing. Fit the keyhole slots of the power supply over the screws, and slide over into place. Attach the switch at the front of the worksurface, adjacent to the leg with the master motor. Use the pre-drilled pilot holes for proper switch position, and affix with two () #8-5 x 5/8" screws. Series 8 Table Assembly (cont.) Finishing the Table Assembly Double-check that all nuts, bolts, screws, cap nuts and set screws are securely attached. Carefully turn the table over ( person operation). NOTE: Do NOT use either lifting column as a brace when turning the table over, as this may cause binding. The top must be lifted free, rotated, and set down carefully. 3 After the table is in place, install the 0v plug into the control box. Secure the cord to the control box using the molded-in strain relief. Plug the cord into a modern electrical outlet, with reference to the polarized plug instructions on page. Series 8 Table Assembly (cont.) USER GUIDE Finishing the Table Assembly (cont.) 5 6 5 Before use, the table must be completely leveled, front-to-back and side-to-side using the height adjustable glides. Failure to do this could cause the lifting columns to bind. 6 Before articulation, you must synchronize the lifting columns as outlined below. Synchronizing the Lifting Columns Prior to initial use of the height adjustment function you must "synchronize the system". Press the Down arrow until the worksurface comes to a stop at the lowest position. Release the Down arrow. Press and hold the down arrow for approximately 5 seconds while the table synchronizes itself. The surface will quickly lower itself approximately 5mm, then rise approximately 5mm and finally settle back to its lowest position. After performing this function, the movement of all lifting columns is synchronized by software inside the control box. In the unlikely event that an error occurs, reset the control unit by pressing the Up and Down buttons at the same time for 5 seconds. Then repeat the synchronizing sequence as previously outlined above. GLIDES Standard Controller NOTE: Mounting of CPU and CPU holders: Maximum height for the units cannot exceed 0-/".
