We are committed to supporting the sustainable development goals of the United Nations, the World Bank and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBSD), by sharing the wisdom of smart city systems, technologies and products with governments, academic institutions, enterprises and the public. Wei-Tek Tsai 1000 Talents Program Professor, Chief Scientist, Director Beihang University, Arizona State University Topic: Blockchain-based Software Engineering, Databases, and Clouds Blockchain (BC) starts as a data structure used to maintain the integrity of digital currency, but recently it has been used for a variety of applications including clearing and settlement, CBDC, IoT, and copyright protection. Their team has been developing and applying BCs using high-speed BCs in two domains, financial applications and copyright protection, and learned many lessons. Gordon Feller Co-Founder, Meeting of the Minds. Consultant to Cisco, focused on Internet of things and talent. Topic: Future IoT for Smart Cities Gordon Feller is the Co-Founder of Meeting of the Minds, a global thought leadership network and knowledge-sharing platform focused on the future of sustainable cities, innovation and technology. He serves as a consultant to Cisco focused on Internet of Things and Talent. Gordon has worked in the area of emerging technology for three decades, most recently consulting on projects which harness the power of data for solving complex problems. From 2010-2016, Feller was the Director of Urban Innovation at Cisco Systems headquarters in Silicon Valley where he served in an executive capacity within the company's programs focused on cities. Prior to joining Cisco, Feller was the CEO of Urban Age Institute, an international non-profit research and training organization which began inside the World Bank and spun off in 2001. Medhat Mahmoud is a Senior Telecommunication professional and IoT global industry expert. He has international profile and careerlong records of leadership and product management with the telecommunication industry leaders. He has held various senior positions and managed international assignments in NA, MEA and APAC. He is a strategic and visionary leader with entrepreneurial mind-set, known for creativity and fresh thinking, transforming concepts into innovative products from definition to market. He is a recognized writer of IoT focused articles in industry specialized media. Xiaodong He Principal Researcher, Deep Learning Technology Center of Microsoft Research Topic: Deep Learning in Natural Language and Vision Intelligence He is a Principal Researcher in the Deep Learning Technology Center of Microsoft Research, Redmond, WA, USA. He is also an Affiliate Full Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington (Seattle). His research interests are mainly in artificial intelligence including deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, speech, information retrieval, and knowledge representation. He has published more than 100 papers in these areas. He received several awards including the Outstanding Paper Award at ACL 2015. He has led the development of Machine Translation Systems. He is an elected member of the IEEE SLTC for the term of 2015-2017. He is a senior member of IEEE and a member of ACL. He was the Chair of the IEEE Seattle Section in 2016. 3

Srivastava, Ph.D. is the VP of Data and Artificial Intelligence Systems and the Chief Data Scientist at Verizon. His global team focuses on building new revenue-generating products and services powered by big data and artificial intelligence. He is a Consulting Professor at Stanford in the Electrical Engineering Department and is the Editor-in-Chief of the AIAA Journal of Aerospace Information Systems. Ashok is a Fellow of the IEEE, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). Formerly he was the Principal Scientist for Data Sciences at NASA. She is a term member at the Council on Foreign Relations and a Global Governance Futures Fellow at the Robert Bosch Foundation. He is registered as Professional Engineer in electrical engineering with the State of California. He has worked in electric power industry in China and in the U.S. for more than 20 years. He gained knowledge and experiences in the area of electric power de-regulation, electric power market, smart grid and micro grid, renewable energy, distributed energy resources, demand side management, electric resource planning and project development, electricity rate design. From 2002 to 2010, at California Department of Water Resources, he worked on power transmission rate design, and managed electric power contracts.
