What is? «The Sector Engagement for the Copernicus Climate : Translating European User Requirements () is part of C3S. «works with public and private sector organisations to understand their requirements for climate information and climate impact indicators across different sectors: agriculture and forestry, health, insurance, infrastructure, coastal areas and tourism. «Running from May 2016 to July 2017.
The questions that is addressing «Analysis: «What do the users want? «What is the scope for each sector? «Are there any gaps? «What can we provide in the future? «Recommendations: «What CIIs to be implemented within C3S SIS? «What applications and tools are needed for the CDS? «What new research is needed to fill the gaps?

WP3: 1 st round of sector workshops Consistency in data collection 19
WP3: Use cases «Understood as data to application chains of information ; «Identify through WP2 survey and 1 st round workshops; «Develop schematic use cases + select and further analyse a few use cases in-depth analysis of added value of CIIs/ECVs (e.g. quality, accessibility, use/value); «Selection criteria to be decided e.g. usability of CII across sectors; information gaps; research needs? 20
WP3: 2 nd round of sector workshops Validate key challenges with wider sectoral groups; Assess if the use cases and associated CIIs/ECVs meet the requirements of a broader set of users; Determine what modifications would be required to make the CIIs/ECVs more usable/useful; Determine whether additional use cases associated with the available/future CIIs/ECVs can be identified; Expected in Jan-Mar 2017. 21
