WELCOME TO FOUR CORNERS We re a family business based in the Cotswolds, with over 50 years experience in kitchen design and cabinet making. Our passion is design, craft and character. The kitchens and furniture we craft will become a well loved feature in your home, lasting a lifetime. The wood and joints of your cabinets are guaranteed for 25 years. Our wooden units are either painted or naturally finished with oils. Painted finishes are very popular and available in any colour. Natural finishes show wood with lots of character, each piece has interesting grain and is as unique as the trees it has been crafted from. We are proud of our ability to design a kitchen with you that will be the heart of your home. ACORNS TO OAK TREES We d have to go back nearly 40 years to discover the acorn from which Four Corners has grown. The trees we use have been individually chosen and there is a no clear felling policy. These logs are often pulled out by horse to minimise ecological damage. We want our kitchens and furniture to be as ecofriendly as it can be. In crafting the furniture we end up with lots of off cuts and saw dust. None of it is wasted. The off cuts heat our workshop and are now available in our stores for your home too; the sawdust keeps the local tomato plants warm. Keeping it green we have recently designed and built solar powered kilns to dry our wood. Once the furniture and kitchens have been crafted it is hand finished to our customer s requirements or, primed ready for hand painting and then carefully bubble wrapped awaiting transportation to us in the Cotswolds. DESIGNING YOUR FITTED FURNITURE One of our expert Design team can meet with you at home to discuss your needs for one or several different projects. If you are working on a major renovation or new build we can happily work from plans and meet you at one of our showrooms. We listen to your thoughts as well as our Designer suggesting ideas of their own to get a real understanding of your needs. We will be hand crafting your project as a bespoke piece for you. We can be completely flexible with the design. Having taken detailed measurements our Designer will then draft sketches of the fitted furniture, staircase or doors whilst they are with you. BESPOKE FITTED FURNITURE We understand your home is a financial as well as emotional investment. It is vital you know what is going on and that your project runs smoothly. This is why we manage the whole process with meticulous detail. Each piece of fitted furniture is unique; from the initial consultation and planning through to the cabinetry, preparation, delivery and fitting. All the work is carried out by our own team with full control at every stage. Four Corners offer a professional service with the added personal touch, flexibility and friendliness you would expect from a family run company. STRENGTH Using traditional woodworking methods such as dovetail and mortice and tenon joints as well as in frame doors ensures your cabinets last a lifetime. In fact the wood and joints of any cabinets are guaranteed for 25 years! STYLE Whether you choose the simple clean lines of our Quaker design, or the more detailed Traditional style with beading, your fitted furniture will have a timeless quality. With every paint colour under the sun and a wide variety of wood finishes available you can truly make it your own. DRESSING Our hand crafted wardrobes and dressing rooms can fit into eaves and around beams, have curved doors, mirrors, adjustable hanging rails, drawers, shoe storage and wirework to maximise your storage options. Your wardrobe can reflect your home s look whether we make ledge and brace doors for a cottage, use a classic clean Quaker style, add Traditional beaded detail or create a more contemporary look with curves they will be hand crafted in wood and can be finished in a wide variety of styles. OFFICE A bespoke fitted office is so much more than a desk; if the kitchen is the heart of the home then a home office is the brains. A quiet place from which to work, do homework or manage the household it needs to be robust, with great storage and have the ability to create an environment where being organised seems easy. Our design will reflect your particular needs and when we craft it your office will be unique to you and your home. As with all our fitted furniture there is a 25 year guarantee for the cabinetry. To ensure strength and durability drawers are crafted with dovetail joints and will have Blum runners where practical. LIVING Fitted furniture in a living room is usually about creating practical solutions for media and storage; the storage may be behind glazed doors with lit interiors or open to display photos and objet d art; It may take your state of the art TV and music or, your lifelong collection of books requiring a ladder to reach to the top shelves. STAIRS Stairs are easily taken for granted and can be a backwater for design and craft but, like freestanding and fitted furniture, we think they should be a well loved part of your home. Carefully designed and hand crafted in oak and finished to your preference the newel posts, treads and rails are fitted with love and care. DOORS Like stairs, doors - both internal and external - can be a backwater for design and craft so Four Corners are happy to add their touch to these too. Whether you are looking for contemporary style doors or something for your cottage we will design it with you. Usually made of Oak other woods are available too so please ask.
