Carey Arnett President Arnett & Burgess Pipelines CPC Board of Governor As President of Arnett & Burgess Pipeliners, Carey is responsible for establishing the strategic direction for the company and delivering strong safety, operational, and financial performance. Carey took on this leadership role in January 2017 after serving as Vice President of Corporate Development from 2011 2016 where she contributed to qualitative and quantitative growth for the company. Since 2015 she has held the position of President Arnett & Burgess Pipeliners (Rockies) LLC. Carey is a 3rd generation pipeliner. She started in technical roles before moving into business development and later commercial roles with increasing responsibility. Carey holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary s Haskayne School of Business. While there she received the Lawrence Décor Award for Outstanding Leadership. She currently serves as Chair of the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association Foundation, and is on the Board of Governors for the Calgary Petroleum Club and is serving as Chair for the Membership, Marketing and Communication Committee. Carey is an active mom to two inquisitive school aged children, a friend, volunteer, and can be found on the weekends training and riding her quarter horses in the most beautiful places in our country.
Céline Gerson President Schlumberger Canada Céline Gerson is the President of Schlumberger Canada Limited, a position she assumed in January 2018 where she is responsible for the oversight and strategic growth of all Schlumberger product lines. She brings over 20 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry with both entrepreneurial companies and Fortune 500 organizations. Gerson is recognized for her unique blend of international business, M&A, trade and logistics, legal, global P&L management experience and her focus on crafting and implementing disruptive strategies. Gerson joined Schlumberger via the acquisition of Cameron International where she most recently assumed full P&L responsibility for Measurement Systems, a global division that designs, manufactures and distributes measurement, quality, and control instrumentation as well as custom-engineered metering systems. She also held the position of VP and Chief Compliance Officer reporting to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors where she assumed global responsibility to drive the ethics, trade and compliance program. Gerson holds a Bachelor s Degree from the European University in Brussels; a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston and is a Harvard Business School Alumni. She is also a certified mediator and speaks four languages. She has served on numerous boards of non-profit organizations and currently sits on the boards of the Petroleum Technology Alliance Canada (PTAC) and the Canadian Society for Unconventional Resources (CSUR). She is a member of the Schulich Industry Advisory Council at the University of Calgary and is the Director of Marketing for the 69th Canadian Energy Executive Association. She regularly speaks at conferences.
Dr. Laura Hambley Lovett Founder and Industrial/Organizational Psychologist Leadership Success Group and Work Evolution, Chair of the Canadian Energy Executive Association Dr. Laura Hambley is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist and a serial entrepreneur based in Calgary, Alberta. She is a sought-after authority and thought leader on career development in Canada as well as speaks, writes, and is regularly interviewed by the media on topics related to career, workplace issues, and industry trends. Dr. Laura has over 16 years of experience providing organizational consulting to public and private organizations in Canada, as well as internationally. Above all else, she is a leader and mentor who is passionate about making a difference in people s lives. Dr. Laura was nominated and selected as a Woman of Distinction in Canada in 2014 and recently won a Woman of Inspiration award as a Global Influencer through the Canadian Business Chicks (2018). Dr. Laura owns multiple practices based in Calgary, Ontario and BC: Calgary Career Counselling, Canada Career Counselling, Synthesis Psychology, The Leadership Success Group, and Work EvOHlution. She leads a team of career psychologists and consultants that help 1000s of Canadians navigate career decisions. Further, her team of Industrial/Organizational Psychology consultants support leader, team and culture development across 100s of small or large organizations over the last decade. Laura also enjoys teaching, mentoring and supervising students through her role as an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Psychology at the University of Calgary. She is also advocating for Canada s energy industry through Chairing the 69 th year of the Canadian Energy Executive Association (formerly the Oilmen s) along with her husband, Scott Lovett. Raising funds for children s charities through this association and other charity work are passions for Laura. In addition to her businesses, Laura has published two psychological thrillers, Losing Cadence and Finding Sophie, that are being represented by a Hollywood Producer. She hopes to both entertain and raise awareness on important topics around mental health. Laura has three wonderful children ages 13, 11 and 8, and enjoys travel, squash, hiking and skiing.
Katie Smith Proposals, Process Systems & Solutions at Spartan Controls/ Executive Director - Young Women in Energy Katie is the Executive Director of Young Women in Energy (YWE), a non-profit organization that increases and provides the voice, presence, development and leadership of young women working in the energy industry. YWE believes that young women have the power to change the energy industry for the better. With over 4,000 members, YWE offers thought-leadership events with industry experts and a variety of programs to increase industry and business acumen, networking and development for young women. YWE s annual awards program recognizes and rewards Alberta's exceptional young women working to change the face of energy. Katie Smith also manages proposals for Spartan Controls Ltd, an employee-owned, industrial technology company that sells, applies and services process control, automation and instrumentation solutions in Western Canada. Katie is currently pursuing her MBA in Executive Management at Royal Roads University.

The purpose - to discuss opportunities, technologies, problems, solutions and opportunities that these industries and those that affect and are affected by them have. Most recently, Kimberley's efforts have taken her to NATO HQ, NORAD & USNORTHCOMM.
