Press release Waldachtal, March 19, 2019 A new addition to the fischer concrete screw family ULTRACUT FBS II Heavy metal in concrete The fixing specialist fischer is expanding its range of concrete screws for use with heavy loads with two new variants. This includes the ULTRACUT FBS II made of stainless steel (A4) for individual fixings. Its specially hardened red tip enables quick and safe installation. The second variant is the ULTRACUT FBS II 6 with its individual approval as well as its new approval for multiple anchorings of non load-bearing systems. fischerwerke GmbH & Co. KG Corporate Communications Klaus-Fischer-Straße 1 72178 Waldachtal Be it the installation of railings and high racks or timber constructions the concrete screw ULTRACUT FBS II demonstrates its advantages during the secure anchoring of components in concrete. It is suitable for extremely high load levels and can also be reused in certain conditions. The fischer UL- TRACUT FBS II can therefore be used multiple times with temporary fixings, which is ideal for the installation of formwork in concrete construction, as well as many other applications. Temporary anchorings can also be carried out in fresh concrete with a strength of just 10 N/mm². Depending on their diameters, the different variants are also approved for many different screw-in and anchoring depths that correspond to the respective existing load. The range of products now includes the ULTRACUT FBS II made of stainless steel (A4). The specially hardened red tip guarantees noticeably faster and safer installation. Due to being made of stainless steel, the screw is suitable for use in wet
rooms and outdoors. Just like its siblings, the ULTRACUT FBS II A4 with a red tip has an ETA approval which covers applications in concrete. This includes the fire resistance class R 120. The ETA of the galvanized steel variant of the ULTRACUT FBS II A4 with a red tip additionally covers the seismic performance categories C1 and C2. Another new addition is the ULTRACUT FBS II with a 6-mm diameter for redundant fixings. The concrete screw is approved for multiple anchorings of non load-bearing systems and is therefore ideal for the installation of pipes, cable trays and media conduits. The FBS II 6 now also has Option 1 approval for individual fixings in concrete. The lower borehole depth minimises the drilling effort as well as the risk of hitting reinforcements while at the same time reducing the expenditure of time and costs. The ULTRACUT FBS II A4 with the red tip and the ULTRACUT FBS II 6 are joined by the high-performance galvanized steel ULTRACUT FBS II. They cover a broad range of applications through their various diameters of 6 to 14 mm in the galvanized steel version and 8 to 12 mm in the stainless steel (A4) version. fischer always provides the right concrete screw for every requirement thank to the variable anchoring depths of the different versions. There are also various head types. fischer therefore always provides the right ULTRACUT FBS II type for all fixing tasks in concrete. The patented thread geometry and the large core diameter guarantee the absorption of high tensile and shear loads in concrete. The flanks of the FBS II cut deep into the concrete when it is screwed in. This allows the ULTRACUT FBS II to reliably
transfer all loads while anchoring itself in the anchoring sub- strate without expanding. The ULTRACUT FBS also features low edge and axial spacing, enabling safe and easy installation. The FBS II can be unscrewed and readjusted up to two times. The under-head riffling prevents the screw from unintentionally loosening. No further drill hole cleaning is required during vertical drilling in floors and ceilings or during the use of hollow drills with vacuum functions. fischer is launching a new marketing campaign for its new broad range of concrete screws under the motto ULTRACUT FBS II ROCKSTARS Heavy Metal in concrete. The campaign sees the fixing specialist put the advantages of the range of products in a nutshell: the high-performance concrete screws are among the best in their class and represent high reliability practically making them rock stars in their segment. The campaign highlights these advantages while increasing the sales turnover of the fischer trade partners. For the first time the accompanying key visuals at the BAU trade fair will include the fischer TourTruck, moving-image material and giveaways for the visitors. The fischer trade stall will also hold hourly tradespeople competitions with the ULTRACUT FBS II with prizes related to the campaign.
