PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS Bidet must be installed with 3/8 hot and cold shutoff valves. The supply stops are located 8 above the floorline and 2 left and right of the bidet centerline. Drain outlet must exit through the floor. SITE PREPARATION ROUGH-IN PLUMBING Turn off water supply. Install hot and cold supplies and P-trap outlet as necessary to conform to roughing-in dimensions. Install shut-off valves. NOTE: Locate hot and cold supply shut-off valves so they are 8 above the floorline and 2 to the right and left of the centerline of the bidet. INSTALLATION INSTALL BIDET FAUCET AND DRAIN Install bidet faucet and drain. Use manufacturer s installation instructions. INSTALL BIDET Set bidet on floor in its mounting location (refer to Fig. #1). Trace the outline of the bidet base and mark the location of the side mounting holes with a line on the floor. Bidet Centerline Connect the two side mounting hole lines (refer to Fig. #2). Find and mark bidet centerline on floor as shown. Fig. #3 Connect The Side Mounting Hole Lines Place mounting bracket on floor on top of the side mounting hole line. Floor mounting holes in bracket must be equal distance from centerline. Mark the mounting bracket floor hole locations. Centerline Side Mounting Hole Line Drill holes and anchor mounting bracket (mounting hardware not supplied). CONNECT SUPPLIES AND DRAIN Connect water supplies and drain. Use manufacturer s installation instructions. INSTALL COVER Place hinges in grooves of rubber washers and insert screws in hinges. Thread a toggle nut (tooth side up) on each screw. Groove Hinge Fig. #6 Rubber Washer Toggle Nut Place cover upside down. Position hinges so that screws are facing forward. This will insure right and left hand hinges are installed properly. Insert hinge into cover bracket. Cover Bracket Hinge Facing Forward Fig. #7 Pick up cover while holding hinges in place in cover brackets. Insert screws and toggles (toggles will hinge to vertical) into bidet cover mounting holes. NOTE: Mounting screws must face towards front of bidet. If not, the left and right hinges are reversed and must be changed. INSTALL OVERFLOW BAR Insert spring clips on overflow bar into slots in bidet. Secure by simultaneously pressing spring clips in place. Overflow Bar-Press In Place Fig. #9 CHECK INSTALLATION Turn on hot and cold shut-off valves. Check installation for leaks. Repair as required. Check all connections for leaks for several days. 5
IMPORTANT CONSUMER INFORMATION CONSUMER RESPONSIBILITIES Vitreous China Bidet: If living in a hard water area, extra cleaning attention to the bidet is recommended. A simple routine cleaning with a mild cleanser will maintain the bidet s finish. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Plastic Bidet Seat: Many typical bathroom cleaners will damage the finish of the bidet cover. This is especially important around the hinge areas and bumpers. Clean only with a mild soap, warm water and a soft cloth. An application of a furniture polish, safe for plastics, will restore the gloss to the seat. Bidet Fitting (Kohler Finishes): Clean finish with a mild soap and warm water. Wipe entire surface completely dry with a clean, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
