4740 Concept WS Bath:Layout 5/0/008 8:0 Page CONCEPT USER GUIDE Thank you for purchasing a Concept bath from Ideal Standard. Your bath has been specifically designed to be easy to use, easy to maintain and look stylish for years to come. Featuring the latest technology your bath is fitted with a discreet Ideal waste system (IWS). This means you have easy control of your waste via the waste control handle positioned on the tap deck. To fill your bath with water simply turn the waste control handle clockwise. To release the water after bathing simply turn in the opposite direction. Utilising a communicating vessel system, the IWS has a concealed overflow, meaning that there is no unsightly overflow hole on your bath. As the IWS takes less space than a normal waste, your bath is also lower than a standard bath tub making getting in and out of your bath much easier. Like any bath tub, if you over fill the bath when you first sit down - the sudden water level rise may cause water to rise above the level of the bath rim. We therefore recommend that you half fill the bath before entering and then top up the water level once you are laid in the bath.

4740 Concept WS Bath:Layout 5/0/008 8:0 Page 6 BATH CONDITION Before commencing installation, carefully remove packaging/protective film and check for damage. If damaged, report immediately to supplier. The bath should be fully protected during the installation process. Appropriate safety equipment/workwear should be used INSTALLATION. Lay bath face down and remove legs and bags containing feet etc. Waste is boxed seperately. The 4 black - No. 8 x 40 long countersunk crosshead self tapping screws retaining the legs are NOT REQUIRED and should be discarded... Locate leg adjusters, (Ref.F) on bath frame and mark positions for the fixing screws. See Figure for dimensions. Pilot drill the holes (Ø mm) in the bath frame and fix leg adjusters to frame, use screws (Ref. K). 3. Locate bath legs in leg adjusters and mark positions for the fixing screws on the base board. Pilot drill the holes (Ø mm) in the base board, to a depth of 6mm maximum. Position legs in leg adjusters and on base board and secure. Use countersunk screws, for the large leg (Ref. L) into the baseboard and pan head screws, (Ref. J) for the small leg. Fit screws, (Ref. H) into the leg adjusters. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. 4. Locate centre support bracket towards the centre of the baseboard, mark screw hole positions, pilot drill holes (Ø mm) in base board to a depth of 6mm maximum and secure bracket, use screws (Ref. J). 5. Fit panel clips to panel clip blocks. The panel clips (Ref. U) must be located onto the wooden blocks with the pan head screws supplied (Ref. Y ), 33mm back from the edge of the bath rim. 6. Fit the feet and adjust to give approximate floor to top of rim height required. Ref. U 33 bath rim Fig. 4 7. Turn bath over and drill for brassware if required. If the bath is to be installed with a monoblock mixer a special hole (or holes) is required to accommodate the mixer and will have to be cut by the installer in an appropriate position on the rim of a no tap hole bath to suit the bathroom layout. Full details or a template for cutting the hole (or holes) is supplied with monoblock fittings. A template for cutting two tap holes in a no tap hole bath is supplied with the bath. 8. Invert bath and fit waste system.

4740 Concept WS Bath:Layout 5/0/008 8:0 Page 3 FIXING THE BATH PANEL(S) 7. Locate and fix the floor supports. Using a spirit level up against the side of the bath, mark a line on the floor vertically down from the rim of the bath. Offset this line inwards to take into account the thickness of the panels to be fitted. Attach floor support blocks equally spaced along the front panel (Fig. 8) and batten(s) for end panel(s) see Fig. 9. Note: Timber floor battens are not supplied but are necessary to secure the end panel. Mark the positions of the front panel support blocks on the floor and wall. This will assist when drilling the panel for the fixing screws. Ref. W floor support block (supplied) Ref. V Ref. Z screw and cover cap (supplied) edge of bath Fig. 8 FIT END PANEL (where appropriate) Attach the lengths of PVC cushioning strip to the top edge of the panel. Fit panel by pushing the top edge of the panel under the bath rim, between the roll and the wooden frame. (Fig. 9). Fix the panel to the batten.

T floor batten Fig. 9 FIT FRONT PANEL Place the bath panel in position and press the top edge into the panel clips until it is fully engaged. Drill holes through panel and support blocks and fix panel to each floor/wall support block using the screws and screw cap covers (supplied). Note Panels can be reduced in height by cutting a strip from the bottom edge. Reducing the panel height requires great care therefore responsibility cannot be accepted for any errors made.
