Caring for the environment Nature will love you if you love it.so daily visit a near by park along with your parents and talk about things you see around.keep a bowl of water outside in the balcony/terrace for birds to drink as it is very hot. Cultivate manners Use your magic words SORRY, PLEASE, THANK YOU and EXCUSE ME extensively. Help parents in small household chores like Dusting of the house: Cleaning wardrobes and watering the plants. Be polite Don t throw wrappers here and there.

EVS Have a treat without heat!! Prepare a recipe with available ingredients in your kitchen. List down all the ingredients and write procedure to prepare your favourite dish. Click a photograph of the same. Remember it s cooking without fire. World Environment Day is on 5 th June. So adopt the policy of REUSE to save Mother Earth. Make anything useful for you like a letter box using old plastic bottles, pencil holder or piggy bank etc. Cover it with paper or colour and decorate it. Make different slips having one word each related to your environment. Ex. Plant, tree, air etc. Put one slip daily in your box/piggy bank/ pencil holder. DIGINITY OF LABOUR Genius begins great work, labour alone finishes them Have at least two meals together with your children. Teach them the importance and hard work of the farmers and ask them not to waste their food. Let them wash their own plates after every meal. Allow them to help you in fire free cooking. Let them make their own vegetable and fruit salad or chat. Make cut out of tools used by the people who help us. (Size- 12 inches.) For example as shown in picture below. Note- Take your parents along and interact with the helper in your vicinity and share your experience in five lines with the class regarding the tools they use.
