Page 1 of 6 Pinpoint Test K: The Satellite Radio Is Inoperative/Does t Operate Correctly Vehicles Without Navigation rmal Operation Vehicles Without Navigation Reception can be affected by obstructions to the antenna line-of-sight, such as tall buildings, bridges, driving under an overpass, or being parked in a garage. This is considered normal operation. Make sure the vehicle is in an open area, free of obstacles, before testing the reception. Vehicles Without A Family Entertainment System The satellite radio antenna receives digital signals and sends them to the Satellite Digital Audio Receiver System (SDARS) module, where they are converted and sent to the Rear Control Unit (RCU). The Rear Control Unit (RCU) sends the signals to the ACM. Vehicles With A Family Entertainment System The satellite radio antenna receives digital signals and sends them to the Satellite Digital Audio Receiver System (SDARS) module, where they are converted and sent to the Rear Entertainment Module (RETM). The Rear Entertainment Module (RETM) sends the signals to the Audio Front Control Module (ACM). Vehicles With SYNC The satellite radio antenna receives digital signals and sends them to the Satellite Digital Audio Receiver System (SDARS) module, where they are converted and sent to the APIM. The APIM sends the signals to the Rear Control Unit (RCU) (vehicles without a family entertainment system) or Rear Entertainment Module (RETM) (vehicles with a family entertainment system), and are then routed to the Audio Front Control Module (ACM).
