Starting from Side, mark your required dimension, then subtract 3/8 (9.5mm) from Step 2 width measurements. (W) 3/8" = The 3/8 (9.5mm) deduction is an allowance for the -assette End ap with E-rake that you will install in STEP 5. Firmly hold the -Screen assette & Pull ar and cut to size (including the screen). Hold upright and tap away the metal shavings. e sure to cut the end that does not have the -assette End ap already installed. (H) 2-1/8 = fter cutting the -Side uide Rails, use pliers to crimp the -Insect Pile/Weather Strip in place [see picture at left] so that it does not move in the holding channels. 5 ISET PIE / WETHER STRIP Recess ount pplications : The -Insect Pile/Weather Strip is already installed in the channel located on the rear of the assette. Surface ount pplications : Remove the -Insect Pile/Weatherstrip from the channel at the top back of the -Screen assette. Then slide the runners on the bottom of two (2) -Surface ount lips into the same channel, EFORE installing -End aps. ote: the position of the -Surface ount lips can be adjusted at any time once installed in the channel. E F ake sure that the long tooth on the F-ushing and E-rake line up with one of the slots inside the Screen Tube. oth the E-rake and the F-ushing must be fully inserted into the Screen Tube before the -End ap can be properly seated. Slip the F-ushing down the coiled spring to the E-rake. On the open end of the -Screen assette, insert the E-rake with F-ushing into the center of the Screen Tube, aligning the long tooth on both as noted above. ext, match up the large pin on the top of the -End ap to the corresponding hole at the top of the -Screen assette Housing. Tap evenly with a soft mallet until the assembly fits snugly. 7 PU R ED P Insert the H-Pull ar End ap into the end of the Pull ar and tap in place using a soft mallet. 8 HDE SSEY Step 1: ut out template and position onto the pull rail at desired location. Use tape to hold in place. Step 2: Drill two 3/16 holes all the way through the pull rail. Step 3: ttach the handle using (2) #8-32 x ½ Phillips Pan Head screws. TURE VUE ISTTIO ISTRUTIOS PE 5 ISTTIO 9- Recess Installation OTE: It is critical that the Screen assette and Rails be installed square and plumb in the door opening. pply shims (not supplied) as needed. 9 ISTI THE SSETTE 9- Recess Installation : Use -#8 x 3/4 (19mm) Phillips Panhead Screws to install -Recess ount lips to the door frame approx. 4 in from each side. Snap only the -Screen assette into the ount lips. 9- Surface Installation 9- Surface Installation : Position the -Screen assette, insert -#8 x 3/4 (19mm) Phillips Panhead Screws into -Surface ount lips and secure -Screen assette to the frame. 10 End ap/atch Position 10-.1 Side Rail to assette End ap 10 IST THE SIDE RIS efore installing the two -Side uide Rails, rotate them so that the decorative groove on the rail and the -End ap / atches are positioned as shown in [10]. The -End ap / atch must be positioned in this manner in order for the hook of the latch to correctly engage the -Screen assette Pull ar when the screen is extended. 10- Recess Installation : Insert both -Side uide Rails onto the protruding tabs of the -assette End aps [10-.1]. lign the -Side uide Rails into the final position. Drill 3/16"(5mm) pilot holes at 3"(76mm) in from either end and in the center in between. ttach the -Side uide Rail to the door frame using -#8 x 3/4 (19mm) Phillips Panhead Screws. When installing the -Side uide Rail, use the lack Plastic Pile Opener Tool that is provided with the screen kit to move the -Insect Pile/Weather Strip out of the way while screwing the rails to the frame [10-.2]. 10- Surface Installation : Using the decorative trim groove as a guide (and staying to the outside of the glide platforms inside the rail), drill 1/8 (3mm) holes through both sides of the -Side uide Rail. egin by drilling holes approximately 3 (8cm) in from each end and then evenly space additional holes about every 12 (30cm). Secure the uide Rail to the window with -1/8"(3mm) x 1-3/4"(44mm) lternate uide Rail Surface ount Screws provided in the bag labeled Surface ount it. Trim down accordingly. heck to see that the H-Pull ar End ap is gliding freely.
