The 6X Entrepreneurship Program Mastering Research Guide These Are They Things That You Should Look Up To Research The Market... Go ahead and pick and choose which ones are applicable for you and your business. You can get all this done in about 30 to 60 minutes! #1 Start with Amazon and look for key words of what people are actually searching for now. It s great to build the best thing in the world. For example, it is great to build the best book but if nobody sees it, if nobody searches for it or if nobody s going to click on it, then it doesn t really matter 1. Keyword Popups: Figure out those keywords and phrases that are applicable for your market and once you do that you ll figure out what related books and influencers are out there and products 2. Search Results: when you search how many products are applicable to yours based on keywords you may see there s a 1500 results 3. Top 5+ Related Products: so only look into those top 5 related products that have five stars and 100+ reviews. Look at the product images, logos, etc. 4. Top 5+ Brands/People/Influencers: Then look into the top brands/people/influencers behind those products. Read their company vision, mission or bio if a person 5. Bios / Descriptions Of Top 5: Then create a document with the description of those products or the bios of the authors. Look at the messaging, benefits, features, and you got a great start for you can you can do with your product. You

will learn tons from just going and seeing what your competition says about themselves 6. Reviews - Good & Bad: see what people liked about it, look for those keywords that stand out #2 Keywords: After Amazon go on Google and search for that product or brand 1. Google Adwords Keyword Planner or WordTracker: use these two tool to validate your potential product keywords for your particular niche so that you can now create the messaging of your offer 2. MerchantWords or KDP Rocket: look as well for merchant words 3. Hashtags Keywords: finally look for top hastags words for your social media channels such as instagram or Twitter.

#3 Social Media: 1. Top Influencers/Brands: Find out what the top influencers or Brands on social media are for your product or service. See how many followers do they have, what posts did they put out 2. Types of Popular Posts/Strategies: See what s really their strategy, what is working for them, videos, images, articles, etc. and see what you can pull from that and do yourself 3. Search Results: Go into Twitter for example and just search for a keyword related to you product or service and see what consistently shows up, see what brands show up, see what hashtags show up and just start to get a lay of the land to know how you can differentiate yourself and what you can do to ultimately get traffic back to your site #4 Competition: 1. Related: SimilarWeb.com/Google: you can use Google and search for a competitor that sell something similar to what you will be selling, for related sites or related brands and see what online profiles they have, how these are built 2. Traffic Analysis: you can do a traffic analysis; there are many sites that can show you how much traffic a site is getting. You can get free results but also of course you can get paid results that will give you more detail on traffic results for your competition

3. Articles/Social Media (BuzzSumo): You need to understand your niche and what s the most popular content, what is being shared the most, what is being viewed the most. BuzzSumo is a great tool to be able to do that. #5 Create A Spreadsheet: Now that you have all this information with all the details of your research results including: Competition, Products/Services, What Offerings They Give Out, How They Monetize, What Their Prices Are, Links, Tagline, Core Social Media Channels, How Many Followers They Have, What Their Tagline Is, How They re Selling, Reviews, Other Notes Mark once completed Copy spreadsheet below Some Other things that you should look for are: 1. Market Size & Google Trends: the market size. And Google Trends is a great tool to start to see some trends that you can hop on 2. Reverse Image Search: another great tool to use. You take an image and you put it up on this reverse image search and they give you results of where it s being promoted so what you can do then is understand where others are promoting their stuff. So would you want to when you understand how your competition is marking their stuff or you can go to the same people and say hey can I pay you to put this ad up on your site or can we do a JB promotion, just to get in front of the same audience 3. Pain Points: Quora, Reddit: also, if you are looking for pain points these can be found on forms, on our question sites like Quora or Reddit to see what the markets actually is talking about. Step back from the data and the reports and see what people are actually asking, what language they use, what are they struggling with

4. Org. Chart LinkedIn: to find an org chart of a related company, go on LinkedIn and just search for that company to see what people show up in what positions And The Best Of All Searches Is To Go Direct! 1. Survey: go to your target audience and send surveys to your customers 2. Talk Directly: talk to them directly, on the phone, face to face, comment back to people who commented on your blog and get them on the phone so they can share with you their pain points, suggestions, etc. and ultimately build an irresistible offer to them based on their feedback, ideas 3. Judge With Wallets: it is important though that you restrict the feedback to those who have actually purchased your products and services, those who have pulled out their credit card and give you money is the feedback that really matters Mark once completed Here Are Now Your Action Steps: 1. Create/Review Your Customer Avatar 2. Fill Out/Review Your 1-Page Canvas 3. Then Validate With Your Target Audience Mark once completed

This is again about taking what to make it better. Taking what challenges people have and apply them to your Business. Take all this information and put it together sot that you can have Clarity On: 1. Business Model 2. Positioning/Differentiation 3. Marketing Plans 4. Monetization Plans Gain clarity on what you need to focus on, for the next six months. Go hard at that vision and trust great things will happen when you mimic those that are succeeding, that are the best. At A Bare Minimum Find: 1. Idols To Learn From: find your big three idols in your niche. What topic to learn from, the marketing angle to learn from and the business model to learn from 2. Competition To Beat: identify peers to see how many reviews they have so you can have more than them. Look for your competition to measure yourself against them every once in a while (quarterly for example) so you can identify your competitive advantage to beat them 3. Keywords/Phrases To Own: find and maybe trademark some keywords and phrases you want to own. Choose the words you want to be known for 4. Make It A Habit To Engage: constantly solicit feedback, survey them constantly, talk to them 5. Just Google It : and when in doubt, just Google it! See what the top search results are, see what your results are, see how big the market is and who the players are so you can mimic them and ultimately beat them Figure Out What Works Add Your Own Spin To It Wa-La!
