Designing and understanding paper-pieced blocks and borders with tracing paper, newsprint, pencil and ruler, this will be a hands on lecture and you will be the entertainment. Yolanda will just be directing the show! Please bring the following supplies: sharpened lead pencils, one Sharpie, ruler, tracing pad at least 9 x 12 or larger, newsprint pad at least 9 x 12 or larger (lightest weight possible), stiff piece of postcard mailer material at least 8 long, bone folder or a pressing tool (or use your finger nail), and a stiff piece of postcard material at least 8 long. To prepare for the workshop, precut at least twelve, 6 tracing paper squares and twelve, 2 x however long your pad is. (If you have a 9 x 12 pad, cut twelve, 2 x 12 strips.) Please bring your sewing machine and get ready to share some fun with fellow quilters. Many hands make light work. Charities & special notices! WARREN COUNTY FARMER S FAIR Save the date! Saturday, July 25 to Saturday, August 1 It s time to make plans for the ESQG presentation at the fair. Volunteer Sign Up Sheets and Quilt Entry Forms will be available at every meeting beginning in April (and on the ESQG website). The 2015 fair theme is A Family Affair. Enter your favorite quilt for display in the quilt show. Sell your hand sewn items at our boutique. Spend the day or a few hours at the ESQG booth promoting our 2015 Raffle Quilt, encouraging Viewer s Choice balloting, boutique sales and showcasing your sewing skills. Irene Compton will handle the boutique. We would love to have a volunteer to map out the quilt entry layout for the building. Children s quilts are welcomed! And we are looking for three members to submit an heirloom dress on a dress form to display in the center with the hanging quilts. We are looking forward to a fun week at the WCFF in 2015! Bern Yates and Kathy Daniels, Chairs. BY-LAWS MOTION The ESQG April Meeting agenda will include the second motion to accept the By Laws changes, Article V: Elections. NOMINATING COMMITTEE The Board will solicit three guild members for this committee. Three members will be selected by a majority vote at the April meeting. Fidget Quilts and Purses for Charity We currently have two charity projects in motion. Your Fidget Quilts should be returned in April and May and now is the time to begin working on purses for the 2015 Quilt Show purse raffle. Barbara Campbell is the Fidget Quilt Charity Chairperson. Theresa Schoonover and Cindy are the Purse Raffle Charity Chairpersons. These charity contributions offer every ESQG member an opportunity to donate their time and talents while bringing our Guild April Birthdays!
