Rules and information 1. Why play? Your goal in a tournament is to do more than win. When you play in a tournament you have the opportunity to play against and meet people who share a passion and love for the same game(s) as you! This tournament serves as an outlet for competitors to meet and compete with each other in person. 2. Registration All participants must register online here at bit.ly/2egaa0e before the tournament date Entry fees are non-refundable 3. Brackets Brackets will be seeded by school. This is to allow students who normally play against each other, to play against someone new. 4. Match rules Choosing sides Competitors will choose which side they will be on when they both are at a game console (who gets left or who gets right) If a unanimous agreement cannot be found, flip the coin provided at the station. Whoever is youngest will call the coin. If the coin lands on the called side up (EG: Youngest player calls heads and the coin lands heads side up) that player chooses their preferred seat. If the coin lands on the called side down (Example: coin is called as heads but lands heads side up), the older player will be able to choose their preferred seat. Character Selection Competitors may choose a character based on which player received their choice of side to play on. Example: If I chose to sit on the left and was given the left seat, I will choose my character first. Followed by my opponent. Players cannot switch characters during a match. Once a character is chosen, competitors must use the chosen character until the match is over. Playing the Match Once competitors have chosen their preferred side and preferred characters, competitors will look over the settings and sign the settings waiver if the settings are correct.
