Contact: Officer Joseph Nichols Public Information Officer Subject: for the weekend of Friday, April 17 Sunday, April 19 2015 Friday-April 17, 2015 Community Policing Officer Mike Drexler mentored at Jefferson Elementary School. Officer Tony Flaig mentored at Roosevelt School. Officer Julie Leu mentored at Read School. Attempted Burglary 1900 block Montana St. An attempted burglary occurred in the 1900 block of Montana St. Unknown persons attempted to enter a residence, but were unsuccessful. Thefts from Vehicles Three thefts from vehicles were reported to police. The first theft occurred in the 700 block of Stillwell Ave. where a wallet and checkbook were stolen. The second theft was in the 800 block of Woodland Ave. where shoes, a back pack and headphones were taken. In the third theft, which occurred in the 1800 block of Plymouth St., a pair of personal headphones was taken. All the vehicles involved were unlocked at the time of the thefts. Drugs 1600 block of Elmwood Ave. A 35 year-old male from Oshkosh overdosed on heroin in the 1600 block of Elmwood Ave. Narcan was administered and he was taken to the hospital where he was admitted. He was also found in possession of heroin. Investigation continues. Juvenile 1500 block of Delaware St. A 14 year-old male from Oshkosh was taken into custody and transported to shelter care. 1 st Degree Homicide Arrest Heroin Overdose A 33 year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested on Friday, April 17, 2015 for 1 st Degree Homicide for his involvement in a heroin overdose death that occurred on, Friday, February 13, 2015 in the 30 block of W. 10 th Ave. Autopsy results indicated the 31 year-old male from Redgranite, WI died as a result of heroin toxicity. The 33 year-old male was arrested in Larsen, WI and taken to jail. Drugs 1100 block of W. South Park Ave. A 22 year-old male from Oshkosh overdosed on heroin at a residence in the 1100 block of W. South Park Ave. He was administered narcan and transported to the hospital. He was medically cleared and taken to the Winnebago County Jail on a probation hold. Investigation continues. Domestic 400 block of W. 6 th Ave. A 36 year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and a probation hold after he was involved in a disturbance in the 400 block of W. 6 th Ave. with his girlfriend. He had left the scene prior to officer s arrival. He was taken into custody the following day after he came back to the residence. He was taken to jail. Disturbance 500 S. Oakwood Rd. A 37 year-old male from Beaver Dam, WI was mailed a citation for disorderly conduct after he caused a disturbance in the Mercy Medical Emergency Waiting Room. He left prior to officer s arrival. Attempted Burglary 2200 Harrison St. An attempted burglary occurred to a business in the 2200 block of Harrison St. Nothing was found missing and the investigation continues. Damage to Property/Trespassing Arrest 800 block of Vine Ave. A 21 year-old male from Denmark, WI was arrested for criminal damage to property and trespassing in the 800 block of Vine Ave. after he broke a window to a door and entered a residence. He was located a short time in the 800 block o Vine Ave. and taken to jail. Page 2 of 5

Disturbance 500 block of Ceape Ave. A 26 year-old male from Milwaukee, WI was arrested for disorderly conduct, bail jumping and a probation hold after he caused a disturbance in the 500 block of Ceape. Ave. He was taken to jail. Alcohol 100 block of Wisconsin St. A 39 year-old male from Oshkosh was cited for a closing hour violation after officers observed a tavern being open after closing hours. He is the owner of the tavern and was eventually arrested for a probation hold. He was taken to jail. A 26 year-old female from Oshkosh; a 24 year-old male from Oshkosh; and a 19 year-old female from Oshkosh and employees of the tavern were also cited for closing hour violations and released. Saturday, April 18, 2015 Disturbance 500 block of Grove St. A 26 year-old male from Oshkosh reported a disturbance in the 500 block of Grove St. As officers were investigating the disturbance, the 26 year-old male who reported the incident was found to have a warrant for his arrest for child support. He was arrested and taken to jail. Stolen Vehicle Eveline St. A 2001 Dodge Stratus was stolen from 0-10 block of Eveline St. overnight. The keys were left inside the vehicle. Investigation continues. Burglary 3200 Fernau Ct. A burglary occurred to a business in the 3200 block of Fernau Ct. An unknown suspect(s) entered the building and stole a computer. Investigation continues. Disturbance 1000 block of W. New York Ave. A 48 year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested for disorderly conduct after officers were called to a residence twice in the 1000 block of W. New York Ave. in a 20 minute period for a disorderly subject. He was taken to jail. Page 3 of 5

Domestic 600 block of Waugoo Ave. A 35 year-old male from Oconto, WI was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery after he was involved in a disturbance with his girlfriend. He was taken to jail. Assist Other Agency 1800 block of Doty St. A 36 year-old male was taken into custody for Neenah Police after he was involved in a domestic disturbance in Neenah, WI. He was transferred to Neenah Police. Disturbance 700 block of Otter Ave. A 23 year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery after he was involved in a disturbance in the 700 block of Otter Ave. He was taken to jail. Strong Armed Robbery Evans St. at E. Murdock Ave. A strong armed robbery occurred on Evans St at E. Murdock Ave. where a female had her purse grabbed from her and the male suspect entered a dark minivan and left the area. The suspect was described as a male white, skinny, 5 06 to 5 08 and wearing a hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Investigation continues. Sunday, April 19, 2015 Warrant 600 Evans St. A 50 year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested for a warrant in the 600 block of Evans St. He was taken to jail. Traffic Stop/Stolen Moped Recovered A 17 year-old male was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without owner s permission after he was stopped for several traffic violations in the 800 block of Vine St. The investigation showed that a 16 year-old male from Neenah, WI, who was at the residence in the 800 block of Vine St., had stolen the moped sometime on April 15-16 from the 700 block of Frederick St. An 18 year-old male from Oshkosh was also involved in knowing the moped was stolen. The 17 year-old male and 18 year-old male had arrest referrals sent to the Winnebago County District Attorney s Office for operating a motor vehicle without owner consent. The 16 year-old male was found to be a runaway from Neenah, WI. He had a referral arrest for operating without Page 4 of 5

owners consent sent to Juvenile Intake and he was taken to FDL secure detention. The moped was returned to the owner. Warrant Division St. at Church Ave. A 17 year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested for a warrant at Division St. at Church Ave. He was taken to jail. #### Page 5 of 5
