3 SETTING AND OPERATION - DIGITAL CLOCK CONTROLS (TM Digital TM Digital-B) The clock is on the outside of the front cover. The front panel houses the following elements: I AUTO O ; selector switch for choosing the operating mode: continuous (I), automatic (AUTO), system excluded (0) RUN P ; selector switch to set the time on the timer ( ), to start the timer (RUN), and to program the timer (P). Numbers 1 to 7 ; the series of numbers that are used for programming the timer and the clock. These indicate the day(s) of the week using the symbol(s) σ that appear on display along with the numbers. Pushbutton P ; used to confirm programming and to pass on to the next step. Pushbutton 1 7 ; selects the programming blocks using the symbols σ that appear on the upper part of the display. The cyclical sequence is: 1 (Monday), 2 (Tuesday), 3 (Wednesday), 4 (Thursday), 5 (Friday), 6 (Saturday), 7 (Sunday); 1 5 (from Monday to Friday), 6 7 (Saturday & Sunday); 1 6 (from Monday to Saturday), 1 7 (from Monday to Sunday). Pushbutton h ; selection of hours in the programming phase. Pushbutton m ; selection of minutes in the programming phase. Pushbutton ; SKIP button. Pushbutton R ; reset. - PROGRAMMING THE TIMER First, reset the timer, moving the selector switch on the right to the RUN position and push the (R) reset button. Once the timer is reset, set the current time on the instrument: move the selector switch on the right to the position, then select the time using the h and m keys, and the day of the week with the 1 7 keys (each time the key is pressed the σ will move under the numbers 1 to 7 corresponding to the days of the week). Confirm by pressing P, and start the clock by moving the selector switch to the right to RUN. When programming the start of the operation, a light-bulb symbol will be displayed which will disappear when programming the end time for the operation. Serie TM. Cod. rev. 1.0 7
The sequence for programming the operation is as follows: 1. Turn the right selector switch to the P position. 2. Use buttons 1 7 to indicate the day(s) you want the system to operate (the sequences are indicated by the σ symbols). 3. Use buttons h and m to select the start time and confirm by pushing the P button. 4. Use buttons h and m to select the finishing time and confirm by pushing the P button. 5. To programme a number of steps in the same block, repeat operations 3 and 4 for each of the steps required. 6. For setting up a number of programming blocks follow instructions 2 to 5 for each block. 7. On completing programming, leave the right selector in the RUN position and the left in the AUTO position. N.B.: The operating times can overlap one another, for example: A weekly cycle 9:00 12:00 and a daily cycle Monday 11:00-14:00 results in a Monday cycle 9:00-14:00 CANCELLING CYCLES To cancel a single cycle for activating the system, proceed as follows: With the pushbutton P select the cycle starting time, hold the P and buttons down simultaneously until the display shows 0:00 flashing and repeat the operation for the finishing time. SKIP FUNCTION This function can be used to prevent programmes being activated on the following day. Hold the button down (with the right selector in RUN mode), the function is activated when the display shows the symbol. The SKIP order starts at 0:00 and finishes at 24:00 on the day following its selection. It can only be annulled before the day for which the SKIP function has been programmed When a SKIP function has been entered, the symbol disappears from the display screen and the time flashes for the entire day. Once the SKIP command is entered, the pushbutton panel is inactive for the entire day and this cannot be revoked. Don t push the button during the SKIP day, otherwise the SKIP command will be carried on the following day. Serie TM. Cod. rev. 1.0 8
- SETTING THE DAILY CLOCK (TM Analogic) The analogue daily clock fitted, which controls the power supply to the dosing circuit, is a simple clock that measures the passing of time over a 24 hour period. The figure below indicates the basic parts of the timer, at its ends there are jumper that power the system for 15 minutes each. To activate them push them inwards as indicated in the direction shown by the arrow. To set the time, gently turn the face clockwise, using the white triangle in the centre of the timer as a reference point, indicating the time in 1 to 24 hour format. Please note If the power is not on for the daily clock, it will not work. Time indicator Rotation direction Jumpers, 15 min each - SETTING THE DOSING TIME The card has a potentiometer (see figure 1 on page 3) that can be used to set the dosing time for the peristaltic pump by simply turning it clockwise. The minimum time that can be set is 2 minutes and the maximum time is 18 minutes. The function of this circuit depends on the setting on the daily clock. Dosing timer WARNING To allow dosing for more than 15 minutes set a time exceeding 15 minutes on the timer, otherwise this device will stop dosing. Check the Daily clock every 7 days. Serie TM. 4 MAINTENANCE - REPLACING THE PIPE TM Digital TM Digital-B Ensure that the clock selector on the left is on position O and proceed as follows: Remove the clip-off guard over the peristaltic pump. Position the roller holder with the two rollers in a vertical position. Remove the coupling on the left of the pump from its seating and pull the hose towards the front. While removing the hose follow its progress turning the roller holder clockwise manually and also remove the coupling on the right of the pump. To fit, position the roller holder with the two rollers in a horizontal position. Insert the coupling on the left of the pump all the way, with the curved part down. Press the pipe into its seating following it bit by bit while turning the roller holder clockwise manually, until the coupling on the right of the pump is also inserted all the way. Refit the guard starting from the upper edge, positioning it with the clipping edge towards the pump and pressing both sides gently until a click is heard. The selector on the left can now be set to I or AUTO as required. TM Analogic Remove the clip-off guard over the peristaltic pump. Reset the timetable and connect up the power supply by inserting the Shuco plug. TM Digital-B When the red light on the front of the system lights on, the unit can still run autonomously in continuous mode for 50 hours. The batteries must therefore be replaced within that period of time to prevent TM Digital- B ceasing to function Serie TM. Cod. rev. 1.0 10
