Success Story My husband had pulmonary fibrosis. He was given 2-5 years to live. He was forced to stop working and go on disability. We lost health insurance and his income. While he was in the hospital, I lost wages while trying to manage things on my own and visit him in the hospital. Medical bills were piling up and he eventually passed away. I turned to ELGA for help and Lori was able to help me save my home. She worked through MSHDA to get us grant money for our home, paying ½ our monthly payment for a year. She then worked with me to get the payment to something affordable for my income alone. Without this help, I would have lost my home with the memories my husband and I had together. Burton Member
