We recommend that fitting is carried out by a specialist workshop. Suggestion: the component to be assembled is made to measure. Check the product for any manufacturing or quality defects before assembly. Important: in vehicles with pneumatic suspension, jack mode must be activated before lifting (see instructions for use). 1 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 2 2.1 2.2 2.3 2.4 3 3.1 3.2 3.3 Dismantling of CW cover Important: with vehicles which have pneumatic suspension, jack mode must be activated before lifting. Before lifting the vehicle, carry out the procedure outlined in points 1.2 and 1.3. Undo the jack connector screw and remove it. Important: the component must be reused. Undo 11 screws on each side and remove the CW cover. Important: the component must be reused. Lift the vehicle. Dismantling of air tank, if applicable Undo the screw. Move the tank towards the centre of the vehicle and remove it from the support. Afterwards, move it backwards and remove it from the second support. Remove the air tank and attach it temporarily with iron wire or cable fixer to relieve the pipe. Remove the tubes from the air conditioner and the pneumatic suspension on the left (only in vehicles with 4-level air conditioner). Undo the screw Undo the screws on the wheel housing cover (2) and tip forward the wheel arch shell. Remove the 2 tube supports in the wheel housing Page 2 of 6
4 4.1 4.2 4.3 5 5.1 5.2 5.3 5.4 5.5 5.6 5.7 Dismantling the supports on the right and left CW covers Remove the front right CW cover support. Information: one screw in vehicles with compressor, two screws in vehicles without compressor. Only for vehicles with compressor: cut the support. Remove the front left support and take the plastic rivet out of the support. Important: the component must be reused. Assembly of screws in sub-floor. Remove the plastic rivets. Fasten the screws onto the front left part (2). Fasten the screws onto the front right part (2): only if there is no compressor. Fasten the screws in the centre, one on the right and one on the left. Fasten the screws onto the back: two on the right and two on the left. For assembly, the sub-floor guard must be removed with care. After fastening the rivet, anti-corrosion protection must be applied following the repair instructions. Bore a square hole of ø12.5mm (1 on each side). After boring, anticorrosion protection must be applied following the repair instructions. Fasten the screws onto the rear on the right and left (1 on each side). Page 3 of 6
6 6.1 6.2 6.3 6.4 Assembly of bracket support In vehicles without a compressor,lightly fasten the previously cut right CW support and the support bracket using two M8x20 screws. In vehicles with a compressor, lightly fasten the support bracket over the original CW support using two M8x20 screws. Lightly fasten the support bracket onto the front left part using two M8x20 screws. Attach the original plastic rivets. Lightly fasten the support bracket onto the centre, on the right and left, using two M8x20 screws on each side. Lightly fasten the support bracket onto the rear on the right and left using two M8x20 screws on each side. 9 9.1 9.2 9.3 9.4 10 10.1 Assembly of left air tank Insert the air tank onto the spindles in the driving direction Push the air tank towards the outside of the vehicle in the special support. Tighten the screw with 20 Nm Remove the entire temporary application. Fasten the tubes for the air conditioner and the pneumatic suspension on the left. Tighten the two tube supports in the wheel housing. 10.2 10.3 Tighten the 2 screws in the wheel housing cover again. Tighten the screw on the support for the air conditioner conductors. 11 Attach the recut CW cover. 11.1 Fasten the CW cover with the original screws (9 per side) and the other screws supplied (3 per side). 11.2 12 Refasten the jack hook with the original screws. Assembly of running board. 12.1 12.2 12.3 Position the running board and attach a spacer between it and the vehicle (for vehicles without compressor) on the front right side. Fasten using M8x40 screws (3). Fasten the running board in the middle, on the right and on the left using the following screws: 1 M8x20 and 2 M8x40. Fasten the running board on the rear, right and left using the following screws: 1 M8x20 and 2 M8x40. 12.4 Tighten all the screws with 20Nm. Page 5 of 6
13 13.1 13.2 13.3 13.4 13.5 Assembly of covers. Position the covers on the front/rear and left/right sides and bore with a Ø2mm drill. Fasten the screw to the support device. Fasten the 4 covers using 5 screws (4.8x16) for each. Fasten the cover on the front left side using the clips supplied. Fasten the cover to the rear with the 4,8x16 screw.
