Midland Eagles 2 Midland Eagles 2110 www.midlandeagles2110.org 2934 E. Monroe Rd. Hours: Monday Saturday 11-10 Midland, MI Sunday 12-9 President s Notes: Hi Eagles, The warm weather is trying to be upon us and it sure feels good to see and feel the sun finally peeking out. The elections of officers is coming up next month and if there is anyone you feel that would do a good job for the club, make sure to write their name on the nominations sheet in the message center. There are still some openings for members that want to be helpful and make a positive impact on the club and the other members. Fish fry is still going on and we could use some help until the end. Please sign up to do a Friday night. Summer is here and the officers are setting up some good activities for the club but can always use some ideas to make it fun for everyone. All members are encouraged to come out and use the fire-pit and horseshoes anytime. If there is enough interest we could put together some horseshoe tournaments. There is going to be a Euchre night coming for those that are looking for entertainment during the week, this will be open to all. I hope that everyone is getting off to a good start of their summer and I look forward to seeing you all when you visit the club. Trustee Corner: Hello everyone. It's that time of year that we have a lot going on. Mother's Day is fast approaching and as always we expect a great turn out (which means we will need help cooking). We need to start cooking at 8 am and we will start serving at 9 am. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, spring cleaning will be coming up in June, I will post the date and items that need attention in the next couple weeks at the club. Please check the bulletin board. Welcome back to all our snowbirds! Please check the boards to see all the new events that are going on at the club - from cards - to the Jack of Spades - to the music and hunger jam events. I would like to personally thank everyone that sent me cards and well wishes while I was in the hospital. It was much appreciated and thank you all. Jim Bartlett From the Eagle Riders: Hello You Eagle Riders, Well it is definitely time to start to get those miles in. This warm weather is awesome and I wish that I had more time to go through some rubber but school is keeping me busy as hell. We have put together the flyers and donation letters for the Luv Ride. It will be on August 12. I sent them in email to everyone so let s get some donations. It is never too early to start! I will be looking into the TCC backpack ride to see if everything is still going good with that. I hope so as that was a fun ride last year and we really liked giving those kids the backpacks. We will be putting together a ride list to keep all riders informed of the rides around the area, starting with the Ray Rios ride on May 6 from the American Legion in Midland. If there are any rides that people are considering, please inform the rest of us. Let s turn this back into a riding club. Congratulations to the new officers!
