Do you have an embroidery machine? Here is a fun, in-the-hoop embroidered project that you can make as personal as you like. The wallet features 6 credit card pockets, a zippered pocket and a pocket for a checkbook, phone or paper money. The class requires an embroidery sewing machine with a mega hoop (size 8 x 12 ) and the purchased design file with the format of your personal machine. Paddle Wheel Quilt (Size: 36 ½ x 36 ½ ) This is a Judy Niemeyer pattern and is a great pattern to start with if you are interested in paper-piecing. The 36 square will make a fabulous wall hanging or table topper! Pam will take you step-by step through the process of making this design. The small quilt size makes it great for beginners. BUSY BEES & WANNA BEES Island Chain Quilt from the Scrap-Basket Sensations book. By using a variety of medium to dark fabrics and carefully choosing and placing fabrics that contrast well, you can create an illusion of a woven link. Just come, watch, and learn. Keril will take you step-by step on how to use the StashTool template, cutting using it, to sewing the fabric pieces together showing you examples of projects made with that particular template. T-Shirt Quilt GOT T-SHIRTS? Make a quilt out of them! Take that collection you ve had for YEARS and create a wonderful memory quilt for your kids or yourself (or to just get them out of your closet or dresser drawer). Georgia will teach us how to stabilize the T-shirt logos and integrate into a quilt. You will make a 45 x60 sized quilt. The SHADOW BOX QUILT class is BACK!! This is an easy pattern that will allow you to use those FAT QUARTERS! The Shadow Box quilt is a great modern look with a three-dimensional effect. Spellbound (a pre-cut class) Quilt size: 64 x 83 OR Lap size: 40 x 60 Light and dark fabrics and the length of the strips are what make this quilt both fun and intriguing. It is what gives you the illusion of a deep well or a pyramid. Although this is a simple straight sewing project, it will test our sewing techniques. The end result is well worth the effort and we may even learn a few things along the way. The motto for this class is DO AS I SAY NOT AS I SEW!!! Our teacher has some great tips on what NOT to do when making this quilt. Come learn from her mistakes while having fun! Instructor: Andrea Karwoski Date: Thursday March 21, 2019 Class Fee: $25 Seawell Turtle Collage Class (Pattern by Laura Heine) Size: 45 x 60 Georgia is back with another collage class! This is not a class where you have a finished project at the end of the class; however, you will come away knowing HOW to manage, fuse, place and generally complete the project on your own. The class is not taught exactly as instructed in the pattern (although you must purchase pattern to take the class). Having completed many collages, our teacher has found ways that work much better and are less confusing. Georgia has decided to add a second class to supplement the first class on May 3 rd for an additional fee of $10. You must take the 1 st class if you plan to take the second. Cactus Collage Sampler (a pattern by Laura Heine) Here is another collage with a twist! In class our teacher will show you how to take one block from the collage pattern to make a pillow or table topper or a wall hanging. Once your block is complete, she will show you how to use free motion thread sketch quilting to complete your project. This is a great class for quilters looking to try something new and practice their decorative machine quilting and thread playing skills.
