Adelaide Mountain Bike Club Inc Annual General Meeting 2008 Held on 3rd December 2008, 7.00 p.m. (meal) Meeting commenced 8.40 p.m. At Hackney Hotel, 95 Hackney Rd, Hackney SA 5069 Present: Apologies: List attached Scott Keneally, Michael Chaffey, Louise and Neville George. Geoff Luders welcomed those present and explained the meeting format. There being no special resolutions the meeting would follow the agenda set. Geoff presented the financial accounts on behalf of Scott Keneally who was absent. In summary Total Expenses $77324.43 Total Income $58065.07 Fixed Assets $53761.60 Total Assets $85661.38 Geoff then presented the highlights for 2008 summarised as follows: Race participation in line with 2007 levels, although variation between events Small fall in membership levels however membership income in line with 2007 Purchase of Transponder Timing System that will be sold to members at a subsidised rate. It is expected to reduce reliance on volunteers to time events and allow more variety of event formats. A special mention to Karen Wishart (with help from Jason Morrison) for who arranged quality prizes and significant sponsorship that allows AMTBC to purchase equipment. Money saved in high interest account is to cover insurance cost. Public Liability insurance increased to $20M 2009 Membership Fees will remain unchanged from 2008. The executive positions were declared void and nominations called for: President. Geoff Luders was nominated and unanimously accepted. Geoff then presided as Chair of the meeting. Secretary: Louise George had indicated she was prepared to stand again, was duly nominated and unanimously accepted. Treasurer: Scott Keneally had indicated he was prepared to stand again, was duly nominated and unanimously accepted. Race Director North: Evan James was nominated and unanimously accepted. Race Director South: Not confirmed if Brenton was prepared to continue. Position will remain vacant until contact is made. Editor Fat Chat: Carlo was nominated and unanimously accepted.
Sponsorship/Marketing: Karen Wishart was nominated and unanimously accepted. Jason Morrison will assist Karen. Trails Access Officer: Ian Fehler was nominated and unanimously accepted. Volunteer Coordinator: Carly Williams was nominated and unanimously accepted. Risk Management Officer: Dennis Richards was nominated and unanimously accepted. Website Administrator: Michael Waxman was nominated and unanimously accepted. Presentation of Championship trophies followed. Karen Wishart received recognition as Volunteer of the Year for her services to the Club through her wonderful efforts in securing Sponsorship
