Tournament Details: 1. Participants must be 21 years of age or older. 2. Participants cannot be barred and must have a valid membership card and be in good standing with Venetian Macau Limited. 3. The tournament period is from 14 November 2014 to 16 November 2014. 3.1 The tournament shall be held at Sands Casino Pit 113 & 115, Himalaya Gaming Pit 524, Sands Cotai Central. 4. The qualifying criteria are as below: 4.1 Method 1: Sands Rewards Club Invitational a) Members will be invited to join this tournament. No point will be deducted for all members who are invited at least one day before each tournament date of the Qualifying Round. b) For Sands Rewards Club Members registering on the date of the Qualifying Round with no preregistration, 58 points will be deducted for participation. c) Invitations shall be done concurrently with other methods on a first-come-first-served basis. 4.2 Method 2: Points Earning Members will accumulate 58 points or above from any table and/or slot play during the points earning period (from 12:00pm on 25 October 2014 to 11:59am on 14 November 2014) at all properties (i.e. Venetian Casino, Sands Casino, The Plaza Macao Casino, Himalaya Gaming, Sands Cotai Central, Pacifica Gaming, Sands Cotai Central or The Dragon s Palace, Sands Cotai Central) to redeem 1 entry. a) Eligible members are subjected to 58 points deduction directly from the member s account which are non-refundable. 4.3 Method 3: Guarantee Seats to Semi-Final Round a) The top 36 members (Venetian Casino, Sands Casino, The Plaza Macao Casino, Himalaya Gaming, Pacifica Gaming or The Dragon s Palace) will be invited and automatically qualified to enter the Semi-Final Round without the need to participate in the Qualifying Round of the tournament. b) Confirmation of Guarantee Seats must be done before 23:59pm on 13 November 2014. 4.4 Registration Status a) The Qualifying Round will consist of up to 1,500 participants. b) Once the tournament registration meets the maximum capacity, message will be advertised at the Sands Rewards Club Counter and on internal advertising items located at Venetian Casino, Sands Casino, The Plaza Macao Casino, Himalaya Gaming, Pacifica Gaming or the Dragon s Palace. 5. The Venetian Macau Limited Management reserves the right to amend the number of seats, session, winner of the tournament, tournament date and time base on the number of participation. Any changes will be posted at the Sands Rewards Club counters. 7. Eligible players are required to present their receipt with valid ID (official identification documents such as passport, travel document or residence card) and their Sands Rewards Club membership card for tournament registration and seat assignment at the tournament registration counter during the registration period at Sands Casino or Himalaya Gaming. 8. Participants have sole responsibility to find their qualification into session / round, start time and location of the session round. 9. No other individual or proxy will be allowed to play on behalf of the participants. 10. Participants must be in the specified tournament area ten (10) minutes prior to the start of their session time. Participants who miss their sessions or are not able to be present to join the tournament will be disqualified from the tournament. Unless at the sole discretion of management, makeup sessions will not be permitted. 11. The Baccarat Challenge consists of three (3) major rounds. The details are as below: 11.1 Qualifying Round: a) Qualifying Round will consist of up to 1,500 participants. b) Each tournament location has approximately six (6) hours of play in sit-and-go format and on a first-come-first-served basis. c) Top 108 winners with the highest amount of tournament chips from the Qualifying Round shall enter the Semi-Final Round. 11.2 Semi-Final Round: Page 2 of 6
a) Semi-Final Round will consist of up to 144 participants with breakdown as follows: Top 108 winners from the Qualifying Round Top 36 invited guarantee seat members to Semi-Final Round b) Semi-Final Round consists of two (2) sessions with eight (8) tables of nine (9) participants per session. c) The top participant with the highest amount of tournament chips from each table in the Semi- Final Round will proceed to the Final Round. If two (or more) participants finish in the same hand or at the end of the tournament with same value of tournament chips on the same table, participants must play off against each other until the final player is determined. 11.3 Final Round: a) Final Round consists of one (1) session with maximum of 16 seats. b) Total 16 table winners from each table in the Semi-Final Round will participate in the Final Round. c) The one (1) participant with the highest amount of tournament chips will be crowned as the champion. 12. 15. Participants must provide official identification documents (such as passport, travel document or residence card) and valid membership card at designated Sands Rewards Club Counters at Venetian Casino, Sands Casino, The Plaza Macao Casino, Himalaya Gaming, Pacifica Gaming or the Dragon s Palace upon registration for the corresponding property s tournament. 16. Each participant is limited to participate in one Qualifying Round only across two properties (Sands Casino or Himalaya Gaming). 17. Participants must comply with the Terms and Conditions set forth by each property with regards to the designated program. Tournament Rules: 18. Tournament shall be based on rules of non-commission Baccarat. 19. Prior to the commencement of the Qualifying Round, HK$300,000 worth of tournament chips (tournament chips have no true monetary value and are used only for tournament purposes) will be distributed to each contestant at the designated table. 20. Prior to the commencement of the Semi-Final Round / Final Round, the following items will be distributed to each contestant at the designated table: a) HK$300,000 worth of tournament chips (tournament chips have no true monetary value and are used only for tournament purposes). b) Two (2) Secret Bet cards. c) One (1) All-In button. d) One (1) Pass button. 21. Up to nine (9) participants per tournament table in Qualifying Round and Semi-Final Round; Up to sixteen (16) participants for the tournament table in Final Round. 22. In the Qualifying Round, each session will consist of eight (8) hands of play. Before the actual tournament starts, three (3) hands of the shoe will be free hands, in which no betting is allowed. All hands are dealt face up during the tournament by the dealer. 23. In the Semi-Final Round and Final Round, each session will consist of fifteen (15) hands of play. Before the actual tournament starts, three (3) hands of the shoe will be free hands, in which no betting is allowed. All hands are dealt face down during the tournament by the dealer. 24. Each participant has fifteen (15) seconds betting time per hand in the Qualifying Round, Semi-Final Round and Final Round. 26. In the Semi-Final Round and Final Round, the betting order shall commence from the first participant seated immediately to the left of the dealer rotating in clockwise direction and a bet button will be placed in front of the participant to indicate the betting order. 27. Each participant may make two (2) secret bets per Semi-Final Round / Final Round by completing the Secret Bet Card. Each secret bet must be made prior to the start of the hand. Gaming Official must validate secret bet before cards are dealt and it cannot exceed the tournament betting limit. The content of the secret bet shall be disclosed before completion of the hand. 28. Each participant may use one (1) All-in Button once per Semi-Final Round / Final Round. All-in Button must be made prior to the start of the hand. This All-in Button allows participant to exceed the maximum bet of each Tournament Session/Round. Once the participant uses the All-in Button it will be collected by the dealer at the completion of the hand. 29. Each participant is required to make at least one minimum bet either on BANKER or PLAYER for every hand. 30. In each hand, participants are not permitted to bet on BANKER and PLAYER simultaneously. Participants are not permitted to bet on TIE/PAIR in lieu of BANKER or PLAYER. 31. Each participant is required to display his/her tournament chips in clear view of other participants and Gaming Officials at all times. 32. Participants are not permitted to borrow or loan tournament chips. Participants are not permitted to engage in conversation with audience. 33. Mobile phones are prohibited during the tournament period 34. At the conclusion of the Tournament Session/Round, all participants must return remaining tournament chips, unused secret bet card(s) to Gaming Official. 35. For any reason if a participant is required to leave the table during the Tournament Session/Round, the time of absence must not exceed two (2) hands or ten (10) minutes, whichever comes first, otherwise the participants will be disqualified from the tournament. In addition, participants shall not take the tournament chips when leaving the tournament table. A minimum bet will be deducted per hand during their time of absence. 36. At the end of the Final Round, if the 1st to 3rd place contestants have the same highest value of tournament chips, they are required to play off against each other until the final player is determined. the 4th to 16th place contestants have the same highest value of tournament chips, they are required to share the cash prizes depending on their number of places. 37. All prizes won will be paid to the winner in person. 38. Winners must approach the Sands Rewards Club counter in person for prize claim. Any unclaimed prize will be forfeited by 16 November 2014 11:59pm and the winner(s) will have no right or entitlement to claim it after the specified period. 39. At the discretion of the Venetian Macau Limited Management, the prize pool may be added to in the form of cash, goods or services. 40. The Venetian Macau Limited Management may guarantee the prize pool based on a minimum number of entries being received. Should the number of entries be less than the minimum requirement, the casino operator may reserve the right to cancel the tournament. 41. The Venetian Macau Limited Management may cancel the tournament without reason or notice. In the event of cancellation, all buy-ins received will be refunded. 42. It is the responsibility of the members to ensure that Sands Rewards Club membership card is inserted correctly into the slot machine or handed to the table games supervisors for their play to be recorded. 43. Venetian Macau Limited reserves the right to amend any Terms and Conditions stated herein and may withdraw or discontinue the tournament at any time without prior notice. All matters and disputes will be subject to the final decision of Venetian Macau Limited. 44. System default or variance may occur which may affect the accuracy of point accumulation. The Venetian Macau Limited Management is not liable for any of the discrepancies or variances which may occur in points generated by the system due to computer malfunction or operational variances etc. Additionally, the Venetian Macau Limited Management is not responsible for any other errors arising out of the membership cards not being inserted or swiped properly. 45. Failure to adhere to the tournament rules will result in disqualification. 46. The Chinese version of these Terms and conditions shall prevail wherever there is a discrepancy between the English and the Chinese versions.
