Winter Camp Program ALI MONTRÉAL The partnership between ALI and LAL offers teens from all over the world the opportunity to get to know Canada at its best: education, science and winter. Our winter camp program strives to offer an inclusive and safe environment in which youth of various ages (12-17) can learn English, be involved in challenging activities to discover culture and to practise the language, and grow as individuals and as a group. In addition, they will be interacting in English and experiencing the wonders of space and science at the Cosmodome in Laval. Classes, meals and residence are safely located on the premises of the famous Cosmodome, 30 minutes from downtown Montreal. Children have free access to the space centre, where they can learn about space, do robotics experiments, enjoy the moon walk or floating without gravity.
ALI Winter Camp Program Our all-inclusive program has everything campers need, from the moment we receive them at the airport to the time we say goodbye. Classes are furnished with smart boards and are located in the same complex as the cafeteria and the dormitory. The 1-week program includes English language classes, field trips and activities, access to the space centre, as well as meals and accommodation. Campers will be lodged 2 or 3 in a room, as they prefer. Daily Program Our language program consists of 3 hours of lessons and 2 hours of communicative activities (games, movies, workshops). The daily schedule for the language program is 9:00-12:00, followed by a lunch break, then communicative activities from 13:00-15:00. Leisure Activities In addition to the interactive activities, science and space workshops, in good Canadian tradition, our campers will try out skating, skiing, snowshoeing, hockey, sledding and tubing, as well as building snowmen and participating in snowball throwing competitions. A one-day trip to Canada s beautiful capital, Ottawa, is also part of the program.
