Meet the Professionals Paul K. Johnson Senior Investment Management Consultant Senior Vice President Financial Advisor Christopher T.R. Letts, Nivy Lamani, Paul K. Johnson, Keith E. Mahle Paul joined wealth management firm E.F. Hutton in 1984. He completed his training as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and has continued to use a planning approach for investing and asset allocation throughout his entire career. He has been recognized by Hour Magazine as amongst the best Financial Advisors in Detroit for the years 2013, 2014 and 2015. Paul currently assists clients of Pine Harbor in developing planning strategies for personal retirement, family wealth transfer, and business transition. Paul specializes using both his experience and many industry relationships to connect the best independent institutional asset managers available within Morgan Stanley to the clients he serves. regarding the unique challenges a family can experience when selling a closely held business. Prior to his financial services career he worked at his father s GM dealership as VP & General Manager until the sale of the business in 1980. This experience provided him both a valuable insight to the difficulties of selling a privately held business and its impact on family dynamics. Paul has lived in Oakland County, Michigan his entire life. He and his wife Marietta have two adult children and four grandchildren. Paul s current hobbies include photography and kayaking. Keith E. Mahle, CIMA, CFP Senior Investment Management Consultant Vice President Financial Advisor With more than 18 years of industry experience, Keith is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and a Certified Investment Management Analyst. He completed rigorous training at the Wharton School of Business and received a Bachelor s degree in finance from Central Michigan University. He has been recognized on multiple occasions by Hour Magazine s Five Star Professional as amongst the best Financial Advisors in Detroit- the most recent recognition occurring in 2012, 2014 and 2015. Keith began his career in a technical role as a Senior Analyst for the Smith Barney Consulting Group- a position that took him throughout the United States. There he spent four years guiding large foundations, pension funds, and municipal governments in applying analytical evaluations to the investment selection of their respective portfolios. Keith excelled in this position and was awarded the prestigious honor of Consulting Group s Analyst of the Year in 1998. Keith serves the clients of Pine Harbor by developing sophisticated financial plans designed to address their goals for cash flow, wealth preservation, and tax efficient wealth transfer. Keith draws on his previous Consulting Group Analyst experience when selecting the many investment asset managers Pine Harbor utilizes for the families they serve. He also advises on intergenerational wealth planning, insurance strategies, risk mitigation, and liability management. Active in his community, Keith enjoys supporting causes that further his children s educational experiences. A varsity swimmer in High School, Keith is proud supporter of youth athletics and has coached the Beverly Hills Titans as well as his PINE HARBOR GROUP 5

children s soccer and baseball recreational teams. Keith and his wife Laura recently celebrated their 20th year anniversary. They reside in Beverly Hills, Michigan with their two children, Jackson and Taylor. Christopher T.R. Letts Financial Planning Specialist Second Vice President Financial Advisor Christopher obtained a Finance Degree with Honors from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. He is second generation within private wealth management and has seen throughout his entire life the profound benefits financial planning can have for successful families. Christopher has been recognized by Hour Magazine s Five Star Professional as amongst the best Financial Advisors in Detroit - the most recent recognitions occurring in 2013, 2014 and 2015. He began his career with Morgan Stanley in 2001. Christopher assists Pine Harbor clients in developing strategies for personal wealth accumulation, family wealth transfer, and business transition. He specializes in comprehensive financial planning with an emphasis on capital preservation and risk management. Christopher has a formal training regarding alternative investments such as hedge funds, managed futures, and private equity which are often implemented by the families he serves. He also advises on advanced business transaction strategies which can assist in reducing taxation and liability of families experiencing a business transition or liquidity event. A frequent guest-featured speaker, Christopher provides insight for various industry gatherings including the annual convention of Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants where he addresses risk reduction strategies utilizing multiasset investments. Christopher is Past President and Director of Brother Rice High School Business Alliance and the previous Director of Michigan State Alumni Association of Oakland County. Deeply involved with philanthropic causes, Christopher is committed to confronting issues of injustice as it 6 MORGAN STANLEY

affects women and children. He speaks regularly on behalf of HAVEN Oakland County, an organization dedicated to eliminating sexual and domestic violence against women. Christopher and his wife Christina have a passion for travelling the world s great wine regions which has taken them across many cultures and languages. They belong to Orchard Lake Country Club where they both serve on its social committee. When he and Christina are not travelling or golfing they can generally be found boating- or ice fishing- by their home on Cass Lake in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Nivy G. Lamani Financial Planning Specialist Senior Registered Associate Nivy began her career with Morgan Stanley as an intern during her undergraduate studies at Walsh College where she graduated with a degree in Business Administration and Finance with High Honors. She has been with the firm since 2004. After graduation, Nivy accepted a full time position with Morgan Stanley and completed her Series 7, 65, and 66 licensing while also obtaining a Financial Planning Specialist designation. Over her career Nivy has demonstrated a strong commitment to meeting the unique service needs of the clients of Pine Harbor. She has an exceptional understanding of the custom financial planning needs of the families she serves. Nivy prides herself on client satisfaction and strives to make each family relationship personal. Nivy has a passion for the young and sick. She has is a regular volunteer at Henry Ford and McLaren Macomb Hospitals where she spends time counseling the families of sick patients and the patients themselves. Nivy and her husband Evald reside in Macomb County. They are the proud new parents of their son, Mateo. Being both bilingual, Nivy and Evald enjoy travelling to exotic places and have journeyed throughout Central and South America.
