Welcome to Warfare 2015 s Warhammer Fantasy competition held on the weekend of 14th & 15th November 2015 Venue Rivermead Leisure centre Reading RG1 8EQ Picking Your Army Armies are chosen up to a limit of 2400 points, and must be fully painted. Proxy models are not allowed, however, non Games Workshop Miniatures can be used. Warfare will be using a set of composition rules that you must adhere to when picking your army. Please bear in mind some rulebook changes stated when picking your army and playing during the tournament. Any questions about the competition please email Steve at zstevejohnston@gmail.com Army Lists Army Lists must be submitted to zstevejohnston@gmail.com by 31st October 2015 to be checked for any errors. Please title your army list with your name and army type. Please bring a copy of your army list to the tournament together with the FAQ for your army. Umpiring The tournament umpires will adjudicate any rules issues or questions. Their decision is final. The first round will be drawn randomly, except that players from the same club/group will not be drawn together. Game 2 onwards pairings will be based on the Swiss system. Scenarios/Deployment Game 1: Batteline Game 2: Meeting Engagement Game 3: Batteline Game 4: Blood & Glory Lasts for 6 turns, breaking your opponent awards 600 vps (both players can be broken) Game 5: Battleline Awards There will be awards for the First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and Best Army. These will be trophies and voucher prizes from our sponsors. The winner of the Best Army will be voted on by the players, we ask all the entrants in the Warhammer Tournament to vote for this. Judging will take place during Day 2 s lunch.
Generic Changes A unit may not swift reform and enter a building in the same turn. A maximum of 18 Wounds worth of models may garrison a building. (e.g. 15 HE Archers & an Archmage) Count the number of starting wounds (e.g. Archmage always counts as 3) Open ground is considered terrain for the purpose of spells but does not have any effect on normal movement. Army Wide Composition Rules Army allowance is 2400 points. 50% Lords & Heroes rulebook update will be used. Units summoned by Lore of Undeath will count towards victory point totals when destroyed. All End Times army book updates will be used for new units (Stormfiends, Bloodthirsters etc) Special characters may NOT be taken unless specified otherwise. A Battle Standard Bearer may take mundane equipment normally allowed to their Hero type. A non-character unit cannot cost more than 500 points in total including command and all upgrades/magic items, or may be greater than 50 models in size. Magic Phase 4D6 magic phase will not be used. The End Times spells and Loremaster buff to all wizards will not be used. No more than 12 power dice can be used in a single magic phase. One model may benefit from a look out sir test in a unit affected by the following spells, Dwellers Below, Final Transmutation & Dreaded 13th. Maximum Strength 6 for the Lore of Light spell Banishment. There is no cap on the number of wizards that may select Lore of Light. Maximum 2 power dice can be generated per magic phase this includes channelling. Shooting Phase Maximum 70 shots can be taken, anything that has a varied number of shots counts as 1 towards this limit. Do not count ranked units with missile weapons with a range of 18" or less in this total. Bolt Throwers count as 8 shots towards the cap. Random shots count as the following: D3 = 2 shots, D6 = 4 shots, 2D6 = 8 shots, 3D6 = 12 shots, artillery dice random shots use 5 shots per dice (3 artillery dice would be 15 shots). Maximum 4 war machines can be taken. Cannon balls stop when contacting a building and inflict D6 hits on any unit inside.
Host of the Eternity King, Phoenix King and Host of Aestyrion Use the High Elf, Wood Elf & Dark Elf army restrictions as listed below. Legion of Chaos Use the Beastman, Daemons of Chaos, Skaven & Warriors of Chaos army restrictions at listed below. Reign of Chaos is only active if 50% of your army list contains Daemons of Chaos units. Chaos Ascendant will not be used. All 3 Maggoth Lords can be purchased at a combined cost of 1200 points. Pink Horrors & Heralds of Tzeentch do not gain powerdice from the Shard of the Herdstone. Legion of Undead Vampire Bloodline powers may not be duplicated on lord choices. Legion of Undead characters use items from the book they would normally be found in, Vampire Counts characters cannot take Tomb King magic items & Tomb Kinds cannot take Vampire Counts magic items. Vampire Counts / Tomb Kings can be fielded as per the normal army books if you wish to not use the Nagash book (see normal comp restrictions), please make your opponent aware before the game if you are using the regular book or Nagash book. Use the Tomb Kings & Vampire Counts army restrictions as listed below. Beastmen Army allowance increased to 2700 points. Victory Points gained against this army are reduced by 10%. Can generate up to 3 power/dispel dice. Beastmen may take Marks of Chaos using End Times Glottkin rules. Blight King units may be taken using End Times Glottkin rules. Bretonnia Lord level wizards can generate spells from any of the 8 lores of magic from the rulebook. Army size allowance increased to 2500 points.
Chaos Dwarfs Hellcannon & Iron Daemon each count as 1 war machine for purposes of how many war machines you re allowed in the army. The K adii Destroyer counts as 2 war machines for purpose of how many war machines are allowed. The Chalice of Blood cannot be used between the casting of a spell and the opponent choosing whether to dispel it or not. Maximum 1 Hellcannon if Lore of Death is taken. Daemons of Chaos Bloodthirster variants may be taken using End Times Archaon rules. Maximum 1 Skull Cannon of Khorne if any model with the rule 'Daemon of Nurgle' is taken. Maximum 3 units/models that select 'Lore of Tzeentch' (this includes Pink Horrors). Maximum 5 Beast of Nurgle models. Maximum 3 of the following; Units of Plague Drones / units of Beasts of Nurgle (includes single Beasts). Blight King units may be taken using End Times Glotkin rules. Dark Elves If Doomfire Warlocks are taken Lore of Death or Lore of Shadow may not be taken on a Lord level caster. Maximum 2 characters mounted on Dark Steed / Dark Pegasus may take a Sea Dragon Cloak. Maximum 4 units/characters with the Fast Cavalry special rule. Maximum 10 Doomfire Warlock models Dwarfs Each Gyro Copter after the 3rd counts as ½ a warmachine for the purpose of how many war machines are allowed. Bolt throwers count as ½ a warmachine. High Elves A unit containing the Banner of the World Dragon can never contain more than 2 characters (including the BSB). Maximum 3 of the following; Frostheart Phoenix (excludes character mounts) / Banner of the World Dragon / Book of Hoeth / Dispel Scroll. Lizardmen Maximum 3 Scar Veterans/Old Bloods mounted on Cold Ones. Maximum 4 Skink Skirmisher Core units.
Orcs & Goblins Goblin spear Chukka s counts as ½ a warmachine. Army allowance increased to 2800 if no warmachines are taken. Victory Points gained against this army are reduced by 10% if the above 2800 point option is taken. Maximum 9 Fanatic models. Ogre Kingdoms Maximum 1 of the following; Slaughter Master / 2nd Iron Blaster. Maximum 1 of the following; Dispel Scroll / Hellheart. Maximum 1 of the following; Standard of Discipline / Crown of Command. Skaven Special characters may be taken (Includes End Times characters). Verminlord Deceivers, Corruptors, Warbringers and Warpseers can be used from End Times Thanquol. Maximum 3 of the following; Hellpit Abomination / Warp Lightning Cannon / Doomwheel. Maximum 4 Stormfiends armed with Ratling Cannons. The Empire Special characters may be taken (does not include End Times characters). Mortars do not count as war machines for the purpose of how many war machines are allowed. The War Altar of Sigmar counts as 2 war machines for purpose of how many war machines are allowed. The Steam Tank counts as 2 war machines for purpose of how many war machines are allowed. Maximum 8 Demigrpyh models. Maximum 1 Steam Tank. Tomb Kings Special characters may be taken (does not include End Times characters). Army allowance is increased to 2700 points. Victory Points gained against this army are reduced by 10%. Can generate up to 3 power/dispel dice. Maximum unit size for Skeleton Archers is 30 if Khalida is taken in the army. Morghast Harbingers & Morghast Archai can be used from End Times Nagash.
Vampire Counts Special characters may be taken (does not include End Times characters). Vampire Bloodline powers may not be duplicated on lord choices. Morghast Harbingers & Morghast Archai can be used from End Times Nagash. The Black Coach does not count towards the ethereal/fly cap. Maximum 4 units/characters with the Ethereal rule. Maximum 4 units/characters with the Fly special rule. Maximum 3 possible Bansee Howl/Death Shriek ability. Maximum 10 Crypt Horrors. Warriors of Chaos Third Eye of Tzeentch cannot be taken on a model that has the Armour of Destiny / Talisman of Preservation. Only 3 Core chariots count towards minimum Core points allowance. Maximum 2 of the following; Lore of Tzeentch / Lore of Death / Hellcannon. Maximum 3 single models with the Fly special rule. Maximum 7 Troll s in a unit if Throgg is taken. Skullreapers and Wrathmongers can be used from End Times Archaon. Wood Elves Maximum number of each special arrow type allowed is 40 (this does not include characters). Maximum 4 units/characters with the Fast Cavalry special rule. (this does not include units with ambush) The free wood and any woods summoned by the acorn cannot be larger than the Citadel Wood and must be painted!
