Why You Need a Brilliant Brand Let s face it, we live in an increasingly visually literate and image savvy world. Who we are, what we do, how good we are at what we do all of these things are judged and assessed constantly by people we know and, more importantly, people we don t know. That s where the concept of BRAND comes in. If you are in business you need a brand that communicates to your customers not only the quality and value of your products and services, but also about your personal qualities and values. If you are an employee, a professional or on the career ladder the concept of brand is just as important. It help you distinguish the organisations that are most suited to you; your values and your skill-set. On a personal level it allows you to communicate those values and that skill-set more effectively than words alone will ever do. Your Brand Is You You need to be clear about what you want to achieve: Who are you? Where do you want to position yourself? Who are you competing against? How successful do you want to be? So here are Twelve and a Half Questions to bring focus to your personal strengths, your business objectives and your company values. By answering these questions you will begin your journey towards building a truly sensational brand. 1. Do you have a clearly defined, and tested, set of personal and/or business values? My tested personal and business values are: 2. Have you identified the key message you want to convey through your brand? The key message of my brand is: 3. Can you clearly describe what makes you different from your competitors / others in your industry? What me different from my competitors is: 4. Can you clearly describe your target audience / target market? My target audience / target market is: 5. Have you got a Business Plan and / or Personal Action Plan that you actually use?

To Summarise Remember the old saying: your brand is what people say about you when you are not in the room. Your brand must be consistent, compelling to your target audience / target market and (definitely) 100% authentic.
