HS0 BEFORE YOU BEGIN... Owner's Manual Befre beginning cnstructin, check lcal building cdes regarding ftings, lcatin and ther requirements. Study and understand this wner's manual. Imprtant infrmatin and helpful tips will make yur cnstructin easier and mre enjyable. Assembly Instructins: Instructins are supplied in this manual and cntain all apprpriate infrmatin fr yur building mdel. Review all instructins befre yu begin, and during assembly, fllw the step sequence carefully fr successful results. Flring and Anchring: Yur strage building must be anchred t prevent wind damage. A base is necessary t cnstruct a square and level building. Anchring and base materials are nt included with yur building. Yur assembly instructins prvide infrmatin n a few methds cmmnly used t secure and level a strage building. Parts and Parts List: Check t be sure that yu have all the necessary parts fr yur building. All part numbers can be fund n the parts. All f these numbers (befre the -) must agree with the numbers n the Parts List page. If yu find that a part is missing, include the mdel number f yur building and cntact: Fr custmers in Germany Fr custmers in Switzerland Fr custmers in France & Belgium Fr custmers in Israel Please cntact 50NRTH GmbH Please cntact Ritter Please cntact Leisure and Pleasure Please cntact IDGarden 50NRTH GmbH Rudlf-Diesel-Straße 8 Deutschland Telefn: +49 (0)657 99 Telefax: +49 (0)657 99 98 Ritter Prducts AG Dägerms 5 505 Erlinsbach SO Switzerland Tel. +4 (0)6 87 33 77 Leisure & Pleasure Rue Raul Fllereau 59390 LYS LEZ LANNOY FRANCE Tel: +33 (0)3 089066 IDGarden Mshav Pedaya 4 Zip: 99796 Israel inf@50nrth.cm inf@ritter.ch Email: cntact@leisurenpleasure.cm Tel: +975443508 www.ritter.ch www.leisurenpleasure.cm Separate cntents f the cartn by the part number while reviewing parts list. The first few steps shw hw t jin related parts t make larger sub assemblies which will be used later. Familiarize yurself with the hardware and fasteners fr easier use during cnstructin. These are packaged within the cartn. Nte that extra fasteners have been supplied fr yur cnvenience. 3

A04 PLAN AHEAD... Watch the Weather: Be sure the day yu select t install yur building is dry and calm. D nt attempt t assemble yur building n a windy day. Be careful n wet r muddy grund. Teamwrk: Whenever pssible, tw r mre peple shuld wrk tgether t assemble yur building. One persn can psitin parts r panels while the ther is able t handle the fasteners and the tls. Tls and Materials: These are sme basic tls and materials yu will need fr the cnstructin f yur building. Decide which methd f anchring and the type f base yu wish t use in rder t frm a cmplete list f the materials yu will need. Required Eye Gggles N. Phillips Screwdriver (With Hardened Magnetic Tip) Nte: A pwer screwdriver r variable speed drill with Phillips-tip attachment can speed assembly by as much as 40%. The best lcatin is a level area with gd drainage. Allw enugh wrking space fr ease f mving parts int psitin during assembly. Be sure there will be enugh space at entrance fr drs t pen fully and enugh space arund the building t be able t fasten the panel screws frm the utside. Befre yu begin the first steps in assembling yur parts, a base shuld be cnstructed and an anchring system shuld be ready t use.

XA04 SAFETY FIRST... Safety precautins are imprtant t fllw thrughut the cnstructin f yur building. Care must be taken when handling varius pieces f yur building since sme cntain sharp edges. Please wear wrk glves, eye prtectin and lng sleeves when assembling r perfrming any maintenance n yur building. Practice cautin with the tls being used in the assembly f this building. Be familiar with the peratin f all pwer tls. safety edge sharp edge sharp edge safety edge Keep children and pets away frm wrksite t avid distractins and any accidents which may ccur. D nt attempt t assemble the building if parts are missing because any building left partially assembled may be seriusly damaged by light winds. Never cncentrate yur ttal weight n the rf f the building. When using a step ladder make sure that it is fully pen and n even grund befre climbing n it. D nt attempt t assemble the building n a windy day, because the large panels acting as a "sail", can be whipped abut by the wind making cnstructin difficult and unsafe. 5

XA05 CARE & MAINTENANCE... Finish: Fr lng lasting finish, peridically clean and wax the exterir surface. Tuch-up scratches as sn as yu ntice them n yur unit. Immediately clean the area with a wire brush; wash it and apply tuch-up paint per manufacturer's recmmendatin. Rf: Keep rf clear f leaves and snw with lng handled, sft-bristled brm. Heavy amunts f snw n rf can damage building making it unsafe t enter. Drs: Always keep the dr tracks clear f dirt and ther debris that prevent them frm sliding easily. Lubricate dr track annually with furniture plish r silicne spray. Keep drs clsed and lcked t prevent wind damage. Fasteners: Use all washers supplied t prtect against weather infiltratin and t prtect the metal frm being scratched by screws. Regularly check yur building fr lse screws, blts, nuts, etc. and retighten them as necessary. Misture: A plastic sheet (vapr barrier) placed under the entire flr area with gd ventilatin will reduce cndensatin. Other Tips... Wash ff inked part numbers n cated panels with sap and water. Silicne caulking may be used fr watertight seals thrughut the building. D nt stre swimming pl chemicals in yur building. Cmbustibles and crrsives must be stred in air tight apprved cntainers. Keep this Owner's Manual and Assembly Instructins fr future reference. 6

XA35 SOME FACTS ABOUT RUST SOME FACTS ABOUT RUST Rusting is a natural xidizing prcess that ccurs when bare metal is expsed t misture. Prblem areas include screw hles, unfinished edges, r where scrapes and nicks ccur in the prtective cating thrugh nrmal assembly, handling and use. Identifying these natural rusting prblem areas and taking sme simple rust prtectin precautins can help t stp rust frm develping, r stp it quickly as sn as it appears.. Avid nicking r scraping the cating surface, inside and ut.. Use all the washers supplied. In additin t prtecting against weather infiltratin, the washers prtect the metal frm being scraped by the screws. 3. Keep rf, base perimeter and dr tracks free f debris and leaves which may accumulate and retain misture. These can d duble damage since they give ff acid as they decay. 4. Tuch up scrapes r nicks and any area f visible rust as sn as pssible. Make sure the surface is free f misture, ils, dirt r grime and then apply an even film f high quality tuch-up paint. 6
