Test Method for Medical Electronic Equipment ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS Temperature : +5 C~+40 C Humidity : <80% Atmospheric pressure : 80kpa~106kpa Power supply : AC/DC Adapter/Charger 110/220V AC ±11/±22V 50/60Hz, Output: DC 10-12V MODEL B SCANNER PRINCIPLE Human organs are different in their densities and ultrasound speed, i.e. they have a different acoustic impedance. The piezoelectricity crystal (transducer) is excited by the electrical pulse to produce an ultrasound wave of definite frequency. This ultrasound wave is transmitted into the human body. The echo wave is made when the ultrasound wave passes through the surface of different organs. Echoes with different amplitudes are received via the same transmitting transducer. Received echoes (acoustic energy) are converted into electrical pulses which are amplified, demodulated and DSC, etc. A standard video signal is generated allowing the organ section image to be displayed on a monitor screen. 18
