Our staff of Nashville professionals teach a variety of musical styles at the center; a comfortable place for all ages and levels to get private lessons, classes, and come to participate in jams. You can unsubscribe at anytime. Be sure to open the attachments in this letter to get essential details. We appreciate your support and hope you would share the flyer ads; so your like-minded friends and family could attend unique Musical Heritage Events! This letter, the website, and Face Book and our base are the only means we have to get the word out to the folks that are interested in traditional music and beyond! August Reflections: Gretchen & Tim were very blessed to be able to teach at so many music camps this summer. The last one was Co Roots Camp on Pikes Peak. Director Charlie Hall has really created a wonderful community and he really puts together an incredible staff of instructors. Charlie and I agree that its not just great musicians that you want on staff but also those that truly have the HEART of a teacher. It is so important. Charlie will continue to be in our prayers as he battles cancer. He really was doing some mighty fine pickin and singin at camp. The best time was had by all at the June and the August camp. We look forward to Winfield moments with Charlie as always every year. Important Announcement: A Memorial Service for Erin Kathleen Harris will be hosted at the Fiddle & Pick at 2:00pm on Sunday September 24. We invite the family and friends to come celebrate her life with us. There will be food, beverages, music, stories and fellowship. We invite friends to play together a couple of Erin s favorite tunes she loved to play, Angelina Baker and Elk River Blues. Upcoming events: Room In the Inn, A Talent Show sponsored by the Pegram Church of Christ on Saturday, Sept 30 at 7:00 at the Fiddle & Pick Suggested Donation $20 ($10 for seniors and under 18, family max $50) A very fun night for all ages and for a very worthy cause! Irish sessions: Dates for the next Irish sessions are on Saturdays, September 23 & 30 mid-tempo 12:30-2:00 and fast tempo session 2:15-4:15 PICKIN Parties will be back! As always, this affordable all ages event helps us raise money for our kids outreach programs. We currently have only $45 left in the outreach fund since we used it up to sponsor kids to music camps and lessons. If anyone would like to donate to our outreach programs; donations or checks can be made to the Charles E Stuart Memorial Fund at the Community Bank & Trust in Pegram. You can mail it to the Musical Heritage Center 456 Hwy 70 Pegram, TN. Maybe you could help? Perhaps you know a well known musician or band that would be willing to play a one hour show (for some pay) at a Pickin Party (date TBA); then we host open pickin after the show. All ages family friendly. We are so thankful for past performers, Jack Pearson and also Michael & Jennifer McLain came forth to perform and help us with this worthy cause!
