GENERAL AGREEMENT ON TARIFFS AND TRADE RESTRICTED 21 March I966 Limited Distribution CONTRACTING PARTIES Twenty-Third Session 24 March-6 April I966 Original: Spanish CENTRAL AMERICAN COMMON MARKET Annual Report by the Government of Nicaragua The secretariat has received from the Government of Nicaragua the following report on Nicaragua's trade in 1964 with the other Central American countries under the General Treaty for Central American Economic Integration of 13 December i960. The products covered by the General Treaty for Central American Economic Integration supersede completely the articles listed in the schedules annexed to the Multilateral Treaty on Free Trade and Central American Economic Integration and the Free Trade Area Treaty between Nicaragua and El Salvador, and accordingly no report is submitted on trade under these two Treaties. The first part of this report (pages 2 to 4) includes the list of the main import headings and the second part, pages 5 and 6, includes the main export headings. Imports Total imports covered by the General Treaty during the year 1964 amounted to US$13,927,548.15 (c.i.f. value) representing 10.16 per-cent of imports from-all parts of the world which reached a total of US$157,030,538 during the said year. Exports - Total exports covered by the General Treaty amounted to US$8,316,624». 80 (f.o.b. value) representing 6.64 per cent of exports to all parts of the-world / which amounted to US$125,184,588. - To facilitate examination of the Inter-Central American trade, a list of the principal imports and exports during 1964 is given separately at the end of this report.
