CAPPUCCINA FAMILY Design Inga Sempé BACKGROUND Luceplan has in its catalogue a masterpiece in the lampshade products: the Costanza family, a worldwide renowned icon. The aim is to produce an alternative product with different materials and technologies
Cappuccina is a fixture composed of a slender base and a spherical luminous body in opal glass, containing an LED module, on which the fabric shade simply rests, without attachment: this configuration makes it possible to move the shade and orient the light to meet different needs. The lamp is ideal for the hospitality market, thanks to the possibility of customizing the fabrics
The decoration of the fabric, made with digital printing bonded with polycarbonate, represents a design in the design. The two patterns have been created by the designer herself: a very evocative degradé texture. Very close in the upper part of the shade, the pattern gradually spreads downward, creating a delicate shading in tune with the light that is projected on the fabric, and granting more space to the background color, which becomes dominant. STOCHASTIC Design Daniel Rybakken The aim is to create the modern version of traditional multi-flame chandeliers, a sculptural object that interacts with the light and the environment around it. A suspension lamp dedicated to domestic and contract segment.
Not just functional quality, but also aesthetic and decorative refinement for Stochastic, a lighting project with an evocative character that, thanks to the dematerialization of the support elements and its volumetric breakdown, gives rise to a product with a theatrical, poetic nature.
The LED light source is placed at the center of the cloud, creating a contrast with the very light glass spheres. The light source is concealed, so the light itself, reflected and refracted, becomes the protagonist of the composition. 1.8 x
Assembled by the user, the lamp has no pre-set form, but permits multiple combinations, never identical to the others. Hence the name Stochastic, indicating a random process, in reference to the different possibilities for combining the spheres in unexpected ways, each time leading to a different lamp, a one-of-akind creation. MESH Design Francisco Gomez Paz BACKGROUND A suspension lamp dedicated to the specification market, typical of the hospitality business: big halls, restaurants, A type of lamp not currently present into the Luceplan portfolio. The challenge is to innovate the typology by using LED technology and an amazing optical lens effect. Sparkling and celebrative effects will be highlighted as well as the memory of glass tradition (see Hope past experience).
Based on experimentation with the potential of LEDs, a technology that permits separation into very small units, Mesh by Francisco Gomez Paz is a dramatic and highly innovative project. The light, almost transparent structure composed of a network of metal cables with the LED positioned at their intersections conceals the complexity of the product, dematerializing it to leave space only for light, the true protagonist of the lamp.
Mesh permits different lighting scenarios thanks to the control and regulation of luminance. Dimension Light source Finishes body: Ø 43 h 35.5 Cable length: 30 118 196 Led mid power 65W - 8000lm@3000K Black Available in the US September 2016
SOLEIL NOIR Design Odile Decq BACKGROUND A suspended lamp giving direct and diffuse light. With its simple shape, it should be suitable for many environments, especially for hospitality or office spaces. Also this lamp represent a gap into the Luceplan portfolio. Possibility to create a multiple offer (finishes, colours, dimension).
Technological and futuristic, Soleil Noir by Odile Decq is a suspension lamp with an organic form in molded polyurethane foam, whose LED light source is hidden inside a disk that generates homogeneous diffused, indirect lighting. Supported by a single asymmetrical cable, it keeps its balance thanks to the thicknesses of the body, ranging from 0.3 to 0.9 mm, functioning as a slim, aerial lighting element that conveys brightness with discretion and elegance.
