GS/LKO/2014-15/34 Date 24/11/2014 All Members Dear Friends, Reg Our 6 th Triennial General Body Conference At the outset I am very much thankful to all of you for entrusting me the responsibility to lead you from the front and I assure you that it will be my endeavor always that no member of our Association get suffered from the Management for the right cause. Friends, the 2-day function of celebration of Golden Jubilee of All India Central Bank officers Federation on 22 nd November 2014 followed by our 6 th Triennial General Body Conference on 23 rd November 2014 in Hotel Athithi Inn, Faizabad Road, was a grand success. The officers in large number from all the corners of the Zone i.e. right from Lalitpur and Jhansi in Bundelkhand to and Gorakhpur in Eastern UP attended the functions on both the days. Really I salute the militancy and dedication of the members for making this programme eventful & fruitful. The Programme started with the Donation of two Computers to a self-financed NGO named Gurukul Ashram wherein around 75 poor students are studying. In the evening we have excellent entertaining cultural event wherein all the programs were performed by the staff or their family members followed by dinner on the first day i.e. 22 nd Nov 2014. 6 th Triennial General Body Conference was held on 23 rd November 2014 which was presided by Sri Vivek Pandey, the then President of Zonal Unit. Sri B K Awasthi, President of All India State Bank officers Federation was Chief Guest. Sri P K Gupta, Field General Manager, Zone, Sri S C Gupta, President, All India Central Bank Officers Federation, Sri N K Pareek, President All India Central Bank Retired Officers Federation were the Guest of honour. Key note Address was delivered by Sri S B Rode, General Secretary, All India Central Bank Officers Federation. Dais was also shared by Sri Manoj Wardnerkar, Treasurer, All India Central Bank Officers Federation, and Sri Anil Saxena, General Secretary of Agra Zonal Unit. Mr B K Awasthi inaugurated the conference by lighting the lamp. Mr Atul Kumar Srivastava, General Secretary welcomed the guests and members present in very large number in the conference and told many interesting facts about, also called Awadh and Uttar Pradesh. He elaborated that meaning of Awadh is which cannot be assassinated, Our great organization was established on 16 th Feb 1964 in Kanpur under Zone and got registered here. The Ancient name of was Lakshmanpur and it was made by Lakshman who was the younger brother of Lord Ram. remained the capital of Awadh province during the regime of Muslim rulers and heritage buildings of Bhul-bhulaiya, Rumi Gate, Imambara are the evidences of that period. is also famous for its etiquette.
In his inaugural speech, Mr B K Awasthi, Chief Guest expresses his concern about the pathetic conditions of Bank officers citing the instances of late sitting, meetings and camps on Sundays etc. He also told that the attitude of the present government is also not different from the previous government as far as Wage revision in Banking sector is concerned despite the fact that Bank employees have surpassed the herculean task of accomplishing the targets of dream scheme of Prime Minister i.e. PMJDY. He categorically told that IBA is involved in ill designed campaign about the paying capacity of the Banks towards our wage revision as Chairperson of SBI has never written IBA for not sharing more than 11% load of increased wages. Mr Awasthi told that in the name of Banking Reforms, Banks have been unnecessarily forced to make provisions even on Performing Assets to the tune of Rs. 26,400 Crores. He informed the house that Organization is not only fighting for Wage revision but also for transparent transfer policies, regulated banking hours and improvement in Pensions. Finally he appreciated the approach of the Central Bank Management at for their whole hearted support and involvement in the Programme. Sri P K Gupta, Field General Manager has chosen the occasion as opportunity to convey the message of the Management to field functionaries in a very effective manner. Mr Gupta calls on the officers to put their best in the interest of Bank. He assured the house that for any kind of injustice at any level, association is free to approach. He further assured the house that Management of Zone will not insist them to violate any policies of the Bank for the achievement of Business targets and appealed to come forward for recovery in NPA accounts and for achievement of 1 ranking position amongst all Zones in achieving the Business targets. Sri N K Pareek asked the younger officers to take lead in Union activities to fight for the right cause of their colleagues and appraised them that Association also provide opportunities for good career quoting his own example of becoming Secretary, President of Association and then Officer Director in Bank s Board which is appointed by Government of India. Sri S C Gupta, President All India central bank officers Federation asked the members to participate whole heartedly in the agitational calls of Association to express their solidarity and appealed the AGMs and CMs present in the meeting to join the membership quoting the example of Ahmedabad Zone where 45 Chief Managers are members of Association. Sri S B Rode, General Secretary, All India Central Bank Officers Federation presented the statistical data on various parameters of some peer Banks vis-à-vis Central Bank of India and appraised the house that due to insufficient human resources, our Bank is lagging in the performance. He appealed to achieve the target of 100% membership quoting the example of Pune Zone where none of the officers is member of any other Association.
The General Body conference was concluded with the vote of thanks given by Sri Vivek Pandey, President of Zonal Unit. During Business session after Lunch, Mr Atul Kumar Srivastava, General Secretary presented General Secretary Report & statement of accounts for the year 2011, 2012 & 2013 which was passed by the house with thumping hands. At this stage, Sri Atul Kumar Srivastava, General Secretary announced the end of his tenure and willing to step down in view of his ill health along-with his team. Sri S B Rode General Secretary, All India Central Bank Officers Federation was appointed Election officer for fresh election. Sri Rode has declared the only panel received up to the given time.
