Class Policies: Sign ups will begin on June 23, 2014 at 7:00 pm by phone; 6:30 in person You may only sign up two people for each class/event (i.e. yourself & a friend) Class fee must be paid at time of registration. Telephone registrations will be held for one week. Please get supply lists in advance. Most classes require some preparation. Please purchase supplies at our shop. (This helps if there is a cutting oops and you need more fabric!) 10% discount will be given on all fabrics, books, patterns, and notions for class projects. Class credit will be given if we are notified of cancellation at least ONE WEEK in advance. Sorry, NO RE- FUNDS. If class is full, please put your name on waiting list. *Waiting list people will be contacted first if class is repeated at a later time. We service all makes and models of sewing machines. When was your last tune-up? Saturday Classes Pillowcase Community Service - Charity Pillowcase Class in memory of Ellen Gourlay. Come along and learn how to make a pillowcase. Ellen made pillowcases for so many family and friends. We would like to honor her memory and make some for those in need. The pillowcases will be donated to Shriners Hospital for Children, Ronald McDonald House and the Open Pantry Homeless Shelter. Some kits will be available to buy. Beginning Quilting This class will introduce you to the basic techniques of quilting while creating 3 wonderful projects. Classes will include the safe and proper use of the rotary cutter (needed for nearly all quilting projects of today), and achieving a 1/4 inch seam. Interlaken Get Away Weekend Saturday, Sunday, Monday November 1, 2, and 3, 2014 This is an anxiously awaited-for weekend! Three full days of sewing, laughter, good friends, good food, and maybe a little sleep! We have a small ice-breaker optional project one evening but for the rest of the weekend, you work on your own projects! It s a great time to finish up items for the holidays or get some started! Have a friend who would like to join you for a weekend away but doesn t sew? No problem, in the past we ve had scrapbookers, knitters, cross-stitchers, and even a crossword puzzle enthusiast! Purchase of patterns and materials are required and receive a 10% class discount. Enrollment is limited to give more individualized attention. Students can make one for themselves and leave with the knowledge to make more for their friends and family. $15.00 (Beginner level) Doll Sleeping Bag Monday, July 14 OR Tuesday, Aug 19 10-12 Whether your favorite doll is an American Girl doll or a Barbie doll, this class will teach you how to make an adorable flannel sleeping bag for her so she can accompany you to a friend s sleepover or family camping trip. Need to know size of doll. $10.00 (Beginner level) Zippers Quilt Monday & Tuesday, July 28 & 29 10-3:30 This fun lap sized quilt will allow you to show off some favorite fabrics! We will pre-cut all your pieces so fabric selection ahead of time is a must! $50.00 (Experienced beginner) Is it time for your sewing machine to have a cleaning and tune-up? Its recommended that your machine be serviced once a year to keep it in tip-top shape. Can t remember when your machine was last serviced? Then it must be time!! Our Pfaff Certified technician, Bob Kerber, will be happy to service your machine. He can also work on many other models and brands. If you don t own a Pfaff, call the store to see if he can help you. No appointment necessary.
RUDOLPH EVENT Friday, July 25 7-9pm 2014 is the 50th Anniversary of the cartoon Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer. Quilting Treasures has produced a line of fabric to commemorate the occasion. We thought it would be fun to have a special Christmas in July event around this theme. Our staff is busy in the workshop making lots of inspiring examples with the fabric and with themed patterns! Admission is a new unwrapped toy (Island of Misfit Toys) to be donated to Toys for Tots. Plans are being made for some Reindeer Games and we ll have some special product and technique demonstrations. Registration requested! July 1 September 2 The Row By Row Shop Hop Experience is new and exciting! And we will be participating. Each shop has designed a row for a row quilt. You can collect as many as you want! There are 1250 shops participating across the US and Canada. As you travel this summer, find shops that are participating on the website www.rowbyrowexperience.com. Stop in, Say Hi, and ask for a copy of the directions for their row FREE! You can collect as many as you want! Shops may have fabric kits available for sale for their row.we do!
