Professor Lily Want Dr. Lily Want, Professor of English Literature is presently serving as Head, University of Kashmir. Earlier she was Professor at Faculty of Humanities, American University of Asia, Sharjah (UAE). She has thirty two years of experience in teaching and research. Professor Want did her M.A (English) in 1981 from the University of Kashmir and obtained her M.Phil.(1987) and PhD in English Literature (2004) from the same university. Professor Want has been teaching for the last thirty two years and has been rated as an excellent teacher by students in the various surveys conducted by the University of Kashmir from time to time. She teaches courses like British Poetry: 16 th to 18 th Century and Romantic/Victorian Poetry; New Literatures in English; South Asian Diasporic Literature. Professor Want is the author of several books, articles and papers. Her research interests include Post Colonialism and Postmodernism. She has also made numerous presentations at various workshops, orientation and refresher courses for College and University teachers. She has participated in a number of seminars.
