2 3 A 5,000-square-meter surface 45 employees

A leading company for 25 years Gimatic was founded in 1985 by three partners who created a dynamic reality that has always paid attention to the market developments and to the needs of its customers. Currently, it is a company that plays a leading role in the handling market. Stable and launched into the future, Gimatic can rely on the expertise of its 45 employees working in its offices, warehouse, and production department. During the years, the company has undergone a great structural development and its headquarter has been extended from 300 square meters to the current 5,000.

4 5 168 patents have been registered from 1985 10% of its turnover is invested in research and development

State-of-the-art Technology It is a company specialized in the pneumatic handling. Actually, from its foundation to date, it has produced more than one million of grippers. In order to keep its leading position in an increasingly competitive and developing market, each year it invests 10% of its turnover in research and development by achieving successful results: from 1986 registration year of the first patent for a pneumatic gripper - to date, Gimatic has actually registered 168 patents.

6 7 Invention, Planning, Design

Comparison aimed at innovation Gimatic does not fear to compete and collaborate with other fields in order to find new design solutions. On the one hand, if it is a company able to manage the whole developing process of a product from the initial concept to the design, and from the technological aspects to the design on the other hand, it always listens to its suppliers needs by borrowing solutions from them that are then adapted to its own product. A strategic relationship that always allows finding new methods and that makes Gimatic a state-of-the-art company.

8 9 1986: opening of the Handling department 1989: opening of the Sensors department 2001: opening of the Plastics department

Ready for the future In order to be always competitive, Gimatic knows that it is necessary to look for new developing areas. For this reason, it decided to invest in the electronic field that represents the future of the industrial handling. The production of components, such as magneto-resistive, electronic, and shock sensors, is an important aspect of the innovation concept and represents the inclination of the company to know the market trends in advance so as to meet the market requirements in a concrete and innovative way.

10 11 Complete checks on the finished products Certification ISO 9001

Quality is our first objective A high-quality product is the result of different elements and many secondary aspects. First of all, it comes from the expertise in the design, from the selection of the materials, and from the specialization of the staff. Gimatic uses innovative and technologically sophisticated machines for the mechanic processing. Moreover, quality is guaranteed by quality control procedures used to carry out spot checks on the components and complete checks on the finished products. The customer satisfaction - proven by the different assessment systems is general and concerns the whole company path: from the finished product to the delivery, from the maintenance to the customer service.

12 13 6 vertical warehouses More than one million of grippers produced in 25 years Saving and high profitability All Gimatic activities aim at three objectives: optimization of spaces, reduction of times, economic saving. The innovative product storage system, that uses 6 vertical warehouses, is the clearest example. Another concrete example is the creation of assembling islands equipped with all required tools and specific procedures that are provided by a dedicated personal computer and through which it is possible to realize any type of product. Whatever product has to be manufactured, who occupies that workstation is able to work independently and very fast.

14 15 10 years of experience in the plastics field

From 2001: Plastics By always considering the innovation and the research of new markets in order to be competitive and to expand and develop its production areas, Gimatic decided to actively collaborate with manufacturers and fitters of machines molding plastic materials. Therefore, for about ten years, not only has it dealt with handling and sensors but also with components for the plastics field thanks to the flexibility and the high expertise that characterize it.

16 17 Special customized products

Technology and ability to listen To exhaustively meet the market requirements, Gimatic realizes also special products on customer s demand. Such products are not included in the catalogues and are designed in order to find customized solutions aimed at meeting specific needs. Gimatic is able to produce such products thanks to its versatility and expertise in the field.
