CJV30 Series adding MAPS The effect of MAPS The banding is reduced even in lower passes modes, meaning able to print without banding at higher speeds MAPS becomes available, by upgrading the F/W* 1 of the CJV30. MAPS reduces banding even printing in lower passes modes (high production mode). The customers who have not used lower passes modes because of the appearance of banding can increase productivity by taking advantage of MAPS. * 1 CJV30-130/160 Ver3.20 or later The effect of MAPS varies depending on print mode, print data, and media. MAPS does not guarantee the improvements of the whole image quality. 11
What is MAPS? JV33 MAPS The way to eject ink with MAPS is different then the normal pass The ordinary pass discharges ink droplets in a band, but when using MAPS, ink drops are fired sparsely at the boundaries of passes. Automatic Media Clamp function The automatic Media Clamp function contributes to perfectly printing on every inch of the media without handling it Also printing is done perfectly without the media peeling after cutting Position of clamps during printing During printing all clamps are down. The clamps can be adjusted in three levels (low/middle/high), depending on the thickness of the media. Production and accuracy With Continuous Crop Mark Detection For precise contour cutting of printed images, such as stickers, the optical sensor detects register marks that are printed on the media. By continuously detecting a maximum of 4 register marks nested images in both X and Y axis direction can be cut aligning each image automatically. Correction on every data. Half-Cut function A proprietary technology of Mimaki All Mimaki cutters include Mimaki s original Half-Cut function. This function produces a series of half- and die-cuts leaving a few connection points that keep the image in place. When the job is done the sticker/ image can be taken out easily or the complete sheet or roll can be sent to the customer. Various media without backing sheet can also be Half-Cut. Automatic workflow Continuous automatic printing with UISS Long uninterrupted printing (880cc per color) in 4-color mode is possible with the UISS function, which is a successful feature of the Mimaki printers. When one of the two ink cartridges is empty, the ink supply is switched to the other cartridge automatically One roll of 50 meter media can be printed without manually changing ink cartridges. No banding anymore due to running out of ink while printing and no unfinished cartridges as a result of that. Unfinished ink cartridges can be used with UISS. 24

It is easy to create stickers with a high quality design. RasterLink Pro5 SG RasterLink Pro5 SG combines cutting data with printing data created by Illustrator. Image data and cutting data can be output to RIP in the same way FineCut outputs to a plotter. FineCut 8 FineCut 8 creates cutting data for contour cutting and imaging.
