Homework Hello Students and Parents. Students will continue learning about Two-Dimensional Shapes. They will finish Chapter 10 by understanding and determining lines of symmetry and continuing patterns. The is a Chapter 10 Test is on Thursday January 14, 2016. Please use the study guide to prepare for the test. i-ready All students need to complete 2 lessons of MATH i-ready per week for a grade. The 2 completed lessons of i-ready are due by Sunday night. Students must complete a quiz at the end of each i-ready lesson in order to receive credit for a completed lesson. Think Central - Students have access to 6 Think Central Assignments which will help review the Chapter 10. While the lessons are not mandatory, they are available for students who would like to review the material and prepare for the assessments. If your child is absent, Think Central is an excellent tool to review the lessons missed. Name PROBLEM SOLVING Lesson 10.7 COMMON CORE STANDARD MACC.4.OA.3.5 Generate and analyze patterns. Solve each problem. 1. Marta is using this pattern to decorate a picture frame. Describe the pattern. Draw what might be the next three figures in the pattern. Possible answer: the pattern repeats: one triangle followed by two squares. 2. Describe the pattern. Draw what might be the next three figures in the pattern. How many circles are in the sixth figure in the pattern? Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company 3. Larry stencils this pattern to make a border at the top of his bedroom walls. Describe the pattern. Draw what might be the missing figure in the pattern. Chapter 10 P201
