Description The is a robust, absolute angular position transmitter, which is particularly suitable for use in marine applications such as the detection of rudder or propeller positions. In contrast to potentiometers, the Camille Bauer rotary encoder uses a unique, non-contact and maintenance-free capacitive measuring principle. This technology ensures optimal performance and a long life of the devices. The high mechanical strength, the robust design, the easy assembly and commissioning, the free parameter assignment and the GL approval guarantee the highest quality, flexibility and reliability in the application, installation and maintenance. Electrical connections The electrical wires are connected to the transmitter via an M12 x 1 / -pole plug connector (only in the non-ex variant) or an M16 x 1.5 cable gland. The cable gland version is connected according to the connection diagram via a spring-type push terminal. The Ex variant may only be used with the threaded cable connection supplied. The center position can be set to 50% (12mA), min. Angular position 0% (ma) and max. Angle position 100% (20mA), as well as the direction of rotation independent of each other. This greatly facilitates the adjustment during commissioning. For an order with a measuring range parameterized by the manufacturer (for example, ± 5 ) the center position 50% (12mA) can be set by means of push buttons. The defined measuring span (for example, ± 5 ) is maintained. The factory setting can always be restored in case of maloperation.
