Congratulations! Your business has been nominated as one of The Best of Wheaton, the annual award celebration presented by the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce in participation with the Downtown Wheaton Assoc., Danada East, Danada West and Town Square Wheaton. Please complete this questionnaire to be considered for the 2018 ballot and to give your business the best light in our program. Feel free to use the reverse side to add more information. It is IMPORTANT to note, along with the popular vote, the quality of your questionnaire will be a key factor in determining placement on the ballot and the award recipient. Completed questionnaire must be received by 11:59 pm Sunday, January 28, 2018 by post to the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce or by email to marycarol@wheatonchamber.com. Thank you for your participation. Good Luck!!! Describe your business in seventy-five (75) words or less (this description will be used in the Best of Wheaton keepsake program) Andrew s Garden is a European-style gem in downtown Wheaton specializing in custom floral arrangements and unique gifts. Andrew s Garden is not your ordinary florist. Modeled after a European-style floral experience, Andrew s Garden uses only the finest premium blooms. We are also the go-to florist in the Westerns suburbs for weddings, events, homecoming & prom, and other celebrations. We are always looking for unique gift items especially from local and regional artists. Describe your Customer Service philosophy/policy We want our customers to return and to tell their friends about us because of the experience of Andrew s Garden, not just the flowers. We pay attention to the fine details because we know our customers do too. We pride ourselves on sourcing the finest premium flowers often fresh off a plane from Holland or South America. Andrew and his team of designers strives to get to know our customers so that every floral arrangement is perfectly designed for its specific purpose. Whether it is a single flower or a large-scale event. Tell us what sets you apart from your competition Andrew s Garden is not your ordinary American flower shop. One of the best compliments we hear is I haven t seen a flower shop like this since I was in Amsterdam, Paris, London, you get the idea. There are a few shops in Chicago that come close to our vision, but none that we have found in the Western suburbs. Andrew s background in horticulture and gardening can be seen in the meandering display of flowers in the shop creating the feel that you are walking through a garden. More importantly, Andrew chooses only the freshest available flowers and seeks out unique blooms with colors, textures and varieties that are not often found in a typical flower shop. Our homecoming and prom flowers are a good example our prom bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres feature exceptional blooms custom designed to coordinate for the event. With every new dance, we have more and more customers seeking out Andrew s Garden

because our dance flowers make an impression. In our experience, the European s know how to incorporate flowers into their daily lives often by picking up fresh blooms at a neighborhood shop on the walk home. We want our customers to experience a little bit of European Floral Luxury too. Describe your business Community Involvement We love being downtown Wheaton. There is something exceptional about the personal experience of shopping and dining among independent businesses. We are excited to see the changes coming to downtown Wheaton and hope that more and more retailers join us downtown. There is nothing better than having a relationship with the community and becoming that go-to flower shop. As some of our frequent flower buyers know, Andrew will remember your name and even your favorite flowers. Whether you are heading to dinner or out for a walk with the dog, we want you to feel welcome in our little shop. Stop in and say hello even if it is just to smell the flowers. We also believe in giving back to the community by supporting our area schools, music educators and social service agencies whenever possible through donations and accolades. We are excited about the plans to improve downtown Wheaton and we are happy to participate in that process through our involvement with the Chamber, the DWA and the City. We hope that our customers recognize that we are invested in this community and that we want to work hard to make Wheaton a destination for shopping, dining and recreation in the area. Why is Wheaton the place where you want to do business? We love being in a thriving city center. Our European-style concept fits in perfectly with the walk-in traffic of a downtown. We also appreciate the business and personal relationships we have developed with the Wheaton community in our 4-1/2 years downtown. Priceless. How many employees do you have (both full-time and part-time) 9 Share your favorite testimonial? Andrews Garden has the loveliest arrangements to purchase for yourself, or send to others for special occasions, or simply to say thank you. I ordered a beautiful arrangement from their website to send to a client, and two calls from the shop to make sure the order was perfect. Andrew called me to make sure my clients would be home to pick them up. Personal attention means they truly care about the product and their service. I will definitely be ordering from them again! Andrew's Garden is outstanding. Andrew did the flowers for my father s funeral and we asked him to bring life rather than remind us of death. They were spectacular to say the least. Favorite Testimonial: Having been in the antiques business for a number of years, The Perfect Thing is the only consignment shop I'll use. Finding someone honest and reputable in todays world can be mind boggling but, you can rest assured placing your items here. Judy, Kate and all the staff are amazing whether they are taking in a consignment, setting up an estate sale or selling something out of their store. Being certified appraisers, they are constantly in the marketplace and know items current values to price items accordingly. Whether you are buying or selling tasteful treasures, check out The Perfect Thing, you'll be ever so happy you did. As the old saying goes "the perfect thing is always at The Perfect Thing".
