This rfrnc voltag is stailizd whn th supply voltag is varial. (2) Sawtooth wav & On-Shot Gnrator onnct a capacitor to T pin will gnrat a triangular wav y constant currnt charging. A typical valu is 0.1uF. Th constant currnt is dtrmind y a rsistor connctd to RT pin. A typical capacitor of approximatly 0.1uF should connctd in paralll with th rsistor to incras staility. (3) Srvo Position & Ovr-Tim logic This circuitry consists of a puls width comparator, which compars th srvo position dtction signal (POT pin) from th on-shot timr (T pin) whos priod dpnds on th rsistanc of a potntiomtr connctd to th srvo's driv shaft. This fdack is what provids th staility for th control circuitry. (4) Puls Strtchr Th diffrnc twn th srvo control signal and th fdack signal is th rror signal. This rror signal is usd to toggl th dirction th currnt flows through th srvo. Th function of this puls strtchr is to strtch th small rror signal long nough and incrass th duty cycl to th motor for it can maintain sufficint holding forc. Th circuit also implmnts a dad and function that prvnts srvo jittr and hunting. This is a rang ovr which diffrncs twn th input and rfrnc signals will not caus srvo opration. Whn th signal diffrncs xcd this dad and rang, driv to th motor occurs.srvo's driv shaft. Th dad and will chang according to th valu of rsistor connctd to th RB pin. (5) irctional ogic ontrol Th comparator circuit compars pulss from th srvo control input (VIN pin) and th voltag controlld puls gnrator and provids ithr a positiv or a ngativ output dpnding on whthr th signal puls width is largr or smallr than th position gnrator s output puls (POT pin). Application of this rror voltag to th motor drivr circuit causs th motor to turn in a dirction that will minimiz th rror until oth puls widths ar th sam. (6) PWM ontrol opyright 3

This signal gnratd y dirctional logic control lock is usd to control a flip-flop that toggls th dirction th currnt flows through th motor. Th outputs of th flip-flop driv an H-Bridg output drivr lock that handls th high currnt going through th motor. This locks output will turnd on or off with ach input puls asd on th status of th dirctional logic. Th PWM driv tchniqus provid th nfits of rducd powr dissipation, improvd srvo motor prformanc and positivly affct systm fficincy. (7) Output drivr Th output drivr controls th srvo currnt dirction. For light load application, th srvo can connctd with OUT1 and OUT2 pin only. For havy load application, th XP1 and XP2 pin will connctd to th as of th xtrnal PNP transistor.
