One of the most annoying people to be around are those who keep complaining and whining. Such people never seem to be pleased with anything, good or bad. They lack the optimism that allows them to see the light in every dark situation. These are the kinds of people who cannot seem to be satisfied with anything. Say for example if their favorite football team loses. They'll say the coach sucked, the players didn't go all out, the guys on the bench should have played... If that same team wins, they'd say, "Man, that other team was vicious, we almost lost this one." Heck, they'll even complain about the winning field goal if they could! It doesn't matter how much money they have... they'll always tell you how broke they are, and how tough their life is. The worst thing that can happen to you is encountering more than one of them at a time. One guy might start to complain about how rough his life is, the other nods, waits his turn, and then has a go himself! If that sounds familiar to you because you're guilty of doing something similar, then it's time to put the nonsense to an end. The time has come for you to realize that things must change for your own good. Here's something for you to consider: Have you ever heard of a pessimist who discovered something that changed the world? Not even one has been close. Why? Because very rarely do pessimists take the risks necessary to achieve something great. Remember, life is all about risks. If you don't take any, if you just complain about how risky life is, then what can you really expect out of life? Those who can see things from different perspectives (and not just through a tiny window of negativity) will eventually end up being on top of the world, and will forever be enshrined in our history books. But there is no book, hall of fame or titles that honor pessimists. OpulenceForLife.com 4
There is no newspaper page dedicated to pessimists. The truth is, life can be hard sometimes, but this does not mean that it should always be exaggerated to mean it is always hard. The fact that life is hard does not give you permission to whine, complain or put your life out there for the whole world to know just how you are doing badly in terms of finances. The world has its own problems and no one wants to hear people who whine. They are looking for solutions and hope, not despair and complaints. The most interesting part is that no one has ever become rich by complaining. Those who are rich get their wealth from hard work, not working hard complaining. Avoid whining about your finances; no one's interested since they have their own problems to deal with. Instead, try to find ways to improve your situation. The energy and time you waste on whining can be put to good use. Simply make a list of people you think have made it through hard times and just see how many you can go to for assistance. In most cases, such people have been through tough times, so they know better than to just sit and whine. At times you might be surprised to know that they were once whiners themselves but decided to make a difference in their lives. They decided to be positive in the things they do. From your list, take a look at those that may have gone through a common situation like yours. This could be your ticket to a whine-free life. The next thing to do is to imagine how it will be when someone comes to talk to you and help you understand how to lead a life of prosperity. Seeing them come and talk to you just for the purpose of helping you, it improves your situation. This will help you keep your head high as you look for one that can advise you. Picture yourself receiving the advice and guidance, and actually putting them to practice. A better life begins with the willingness to take action. People will come and give you multimillion dollar tips, but it all depends on what you keep in your heart. If you harbor feelings of resentment, or cynicism of people, then it does not matter how much advice you get, because you're going to be dismissive of the people who freely give you their advice. As you go out into the world to seek advice, you should picture yourself taking things that are relevant to you and implementing them. What begins with an attitude must end in action. You should not just take advice that's given, but you have to ACT on the advice given. It is the actions you take that determine how long you stay in your financial hardship. One thing you have to know is that, it does not matter how bad your financial situation is, you always have an opportunity to bounce back. OpulenceForLife.com 6
But you must be willing to work towards financial freedom or you will end up in circles for the rest of your life. The worst thing you can do to your health and wealth is complaining. When you complain, you're conjuring a dark cloud around your head, making it hard for you to see not only the opportunities right in front of you, but also dangers that lie ahead. Complaints lead to worry and worry puts a heavy burden on your heart that may lead to poor heart health. Those who worry a lot are very vulnerable to diseases and conditions related to the heart. Those who remain optimistic about life and the issues that come with it tend to show stronger and healthier hearts than those who constantly complain. The worst effect complaints can have has to do with your wealth. Since all you do is complain, you lose focus on the things that matter and end up attracting the same thing that you've been complaining about. Keep in mind the universal Law of Attraction: What you focus on, you'll end up manifesting. When you complain about something, you're focusing on it, even if you don't realize you're doing it. You're dedicating your thoughts and energy to the very thing you're not happy with. When you complain about not having enough money, or being in debt, or never getting rich, is it any surprise that things just get worse? Instead of focusing on abundance, you're actually focusing on what you lack. So is it any surprise that those who complain seem to have a perpetually tough life? OpulenceForLife.com 7
As if failure is coded into their DNA, and it's all they can ever expect to happen. Everything that can go wrong, will go wrong. And the irony about all this is that they complain that life is hard. Yet they don't realize that their life is hard because they do nothing but complain. If you ever come across such people, I would recommend that you distance yourself from them so that their negativity doesn't rub off on you. Keep your focus on keeping your attitude positive. Jay-Z, the most financially successful hip hop artist with a net worth of almost $520 million, explains that when they were kids, they did not complain about how poor they were. Instead they kept talking about how wealthy they would be and took steps towards being what they wanted to be. Had they put their energy in complaining, they would not be where they are right now. Instead of curling up in a corner complaining, he took a bold step forward and "followed the money." He threw himself wholly into what he loved doing, and when things didn't seem like they were going to pan out as he thought they would, he pressed on because he loved doing what he did. This is in line with Strategy #4 (Don't Hate Money) but you can see how this is also in line with Strategy #3, as Jay-Z turned his passion into his source of wealth and prosperity. He didn't complain about how hard life was, or how money was bad. Instead, he worked for his money, and then put whatever he earned to work for him, so he didn't have to work as hard once he made it big. OpulenceForLife.com 8
Now, do you think that, when Jay-Z was a mere child, he knew that he would one day become the richest hip hop artist in the world? No, of course not. But he knew what he WANTED. From a tender age, he knew that his destiny was to not be poor. This motivated him to keep working till he ended up where he is today. He was fully aware of his situation at the time, but he didn't sit and complain about it. Instead he took charge of his own life and worked hard, seeking advice from people who knew what he loved doing, people who he knew could get him to where he wanted to be in life. One common trait that rich people have is that they do not complain. If you want to be among them, stop complaining and start getting to work. The first thing to do to deal with complaining is to stop and listen to yourself. Analyze why you are complaining and analyze where complaining has gotten you to. Your answer will definitely be nowhere. As a matter of fact, you will find out that it has made your situation worse. The next step is to look around to find any rich person who ever got rich for complaining about their poverty. Go back in history and pin point just one inventor or scientist or great leader who became great just by complaining. OpulenceForLife.com 9
Then find a few rich people who you can talk to just to know how they think. Sit down with them, ask them questions and try to find out the common traits that all of them have. Now, ask yourself: 1) What can I do differently from what I have been doing since what I have been doing has not gotten me anywhere? 2) How can I improve my situation and be better for the purpose of my health and wealth? 3) Stop complaining and start working!
