Dear Parents Summer vacation is a break from fixed schedules, rules and regulations of the school. It's time to enjoy and relax but it's also the time when the children have to spend a lot of time indoors, and,it becomes a challenge to keep their little minds busy. Keeping this in mind, we have planned the activities that will keep the children engaged, help them channelize their energy, and at the same time improve their concentration, motor skills and promote independent learning. Reading is Fun Bruno series Pepper series Ladybird series (Level 1) Help your child picture read a story to you, every day. Let that one story be read for one week by the child. Lets read the sight words every day Encourage your child to read and circle sight words such as I, am, on, the, in, is, up, this, that and to in the newspapers, old magazines or the books he/she picture reads. My Photo frame Instructions- 1. Cut a frame of cardboard for your child. 2. Let the child dip his / her fingers in poster colour. 3. Now, help the child decorate it with his/her fingerprints. 4. Last, paste the family photograph in it.
My Leafy Table Mat Instructions- 1. Ask the child to collect leaves of different shapes and sizes. 2. Help your child dip the leaves in green poster colour. 3. Imprint them on an A3 size pastel sheets. 4. Laminate the sheet to make his/her table mat. 5. Instruct your child to spread the table mat and eat.
Colourful Sand Craft Instructions- 1. Help your child, draw a picture of any of his/her favourite animal on an A4 size pastel sheet. 2. Give him/her coloured sand. 3. Help the child colour the sand, by putting the sand in poster colours. 4. Let the sand dry, out in the sun. 5. Help your child spread fevicol. 6. Let the child sprinkle different coloured sand on to the cutout of the animal. 7. Help him/her press the sand with his/her fingers. 8. Let it dry for sometime 9. Cover that sheet with a plastic sheet for your child.
Stick Fruits and Veggies Instructions- 1. On an A4 size sheets, help the child draw two fruits and two vegetables. 2. Ask him/her to colour the pictures using crayons. 3. Cut the drawn pictures of fruits and vegetables for your child. 4. Help the child paste googly eyes on them. 5. Stick an ice cream stick at their back to make stick puppets.
The Enchanted Tree- Ear bud Printing Instructions- 1. Take an A4 size pastel sheet and help your child draw the trunk and branches of a tree on it. (as shown in the image given above) 2. Help the child colour the trunk and branches with a brown crayon. 3. Ask your child to dip ear buds in different poster colours and make a beautiful and colourful tree. 4. Help him/her paste the A4 size sheet on a cardboard sheet to give it a base.
Paper plate Sunflower Instructions- 1. Take a paper plate. 2. Cut petals of sunflower from yellow pastel sheet for your child. 3. Help the child, paste the petals on the edges of the paper plate as shown in the image. 4. Wash some used tea leaves and dry them in the sun. 5. Help the child, apply fevicol in the centre of the paper plate and sprinkle the tea leaves on it. 6. Your beautiful sunflower is ready.
