CITY OF ANAHEIM The center of Anaheim s visitor industry has reinvented itself as the Anaheim Resort District, focusing on the construction of hotels, retail and entertainment-focused uses. In 2017, there was more than $2 billion in investment happening in the District. 23 million domestic and international visitors visited Anaheim in 2016, the 4th consecutive year of record increases. Those visitors spent $8.1 billion in 2016, up 8.1% over 2015. Disneyland attracts more than 18.2 million visitors annually, 49,800 per day on average; Disney s California Adventure draws 9.3 million visitors annually, 25,400 per day on average. Star Wars: Galaxy s Edge is scheduled to open in 2019.
